I know. Want something desperately enough, and you can end up pursuing it while forgetting why you wanted it in the first place.
[Like the Dead, so desperate to live again that they ended up losing any memory of
why
or who they were before.
Just that they were trying to fight the current, and would happily kill the people they'd known while alive just to stay a little longer in Life.]
I won't lose sight of why I'm doing this.
