Well, to be honest, I think that managing an entire group of some fifty to sixty people is close to impossible. There's plenty of companies that have more employees than even that, but they're typically divided in divisions, separated by areas of expertise. It's not too dissimilar from a film set. You have your production team, your costumes, your lights, your makeup, your cameras β every team arranged to come together and make the whole work.
But here, we have everyone running around with a scatter of ideas, trying to dip their toes everywhere when the missions come along, and there's no real sense of organization. If we took our time here at the station to try to really categorize everyone by their areas of expertise and skill, then when mission time comes along, we'd have a better sense who could lead certain tasks that may need doing, no matter how different each planet we visit happens to be, whether it's stealth work or survival or medicine or diplomacy and so on.
