You've met some of the non-interventionist members of the crew. I think it's fair to warn you, colleague to colleague, that we have a few more who wear their pathological altruism like it's a badge of honor.
( His voice is low and weary, speaking from experience. Stephen's compassion is a strength McCoy admires in him, and he understands too well the strain that comes from desperately attempting to counsel others away from this particular brand of self-sacrifice. )
Add in that this very well could backfire and give Zandr a whole convenient host of folks to blame if he's not on the level...
If we don't have to bail orbers outta jail or stitch together someone who sacrificed themselves when they didn't need to, I'll owe you a bottle of bourbon.
