Greetings.

I know many of us searching for information that would help us succeed in this mission and some have already uncovered details and items that could be of use.

In an effort to consolidate and keep all the information gathered in one place, would others be amenable to share what you've already uncovered here? This way, more of us are able to be intentional in our hunt for more information about the Orb and situation here. Additionally, further discussions can be facilitated during the course of the Gala this evening.

I have information to share that I will add in as a follow up to my own message, for clearer organization. But first, I would also like to share that both my brother, Wangji, and I are able to create silencing paper talismans for those who may need them. These can be used to block all sound within a space from getting out or silencing an individual. It will be easier for one of us to share with other members of the Featherstone, but exchanges with members of other Families can be arranged at the Gala tonight or worked out afterwards for those interested.

Oh, this is great and very helpful to keep track of everything. Good thinking.

Yelena and I posed as a couple for the Gala and got into the auction, here's what we've got:

1] The head of the Featherstones, Broom, has been trying to woo Cheri for a while without success. Brom's cousin is also getting married to one of the dancers at Cherry on Top but we don't know the exact date.

2] Cheri is much older than she looks due to her species. It's rumored that the treason why she might be rejecting Broom's advances, it's because she is already seeing someone else in secret. At the Gala, she was wearing dresses and jewels that were too similar to Olexa Lionetta's to be a coincidence. This leads me to believe that the person Cheri is seeing might either have infiltrated the Lionetta's house to steal the dresses/jewel, OR someone from that house gave them to her.

...or maybe she's seeing Olexa herself.

3] The security at the Lionetta's HQ has increased recently. Some of their men have regular card games that are being interrupted/made more difficult to organize due to said security and the lackeys are bummed about it.

Perhaps we could use that to our advantage? One of us from the Lionetta's family could participate in the card games and try to learn more information. Or we could organize a card game the same night of the theft for an extra distraction.

4] The Alonetti mine is only half a block away from the main mine (the Miniera Ruvida) and is where the Lionetta HQ now stands. It's where the crown jewel was found and that's why there's a commemorative spot with a fountain built on top of the spot... that it's also a notable place to propose marriage to someone. Such a thing could be used as an excuse to have people snooping around without looking out of place.

If we do any investigation in the mines, we need to make sure we have the right equipment to avoid a cave-in or toxic fumes. I have a high-tech retractable helmet that's suited for breathing in the vacuum of space. It could filter any toxicity in the air, but I only have the one and if there's a lot of us going into the caves, we're going to need more than that.

5] Yelena managed to slip a listening device into the pockets of one of the Lionetta's lackeys (thanks tony for that tech) so we might get some more information soon.

Related to the mines, that fountain's likely the most accessible way in should we figure it out, to then navigate up underneath the Lionetta HQ. Or out through, in all honesty.

The technology of your helmet, would you be able to find anything similar in the markets of this city?

I was thinking along the same lines regarding the fountain. It's a very public place, though, so we either need to stage a distraction or do it when it's dark. Or foggy...perhaps one of the people here who can do magic could create fog? I know someone who controls shadows.

That's pretty unlikely, no. My helmet happens to be more practical because it can be hidden quickly but given the past mining industry of the city, it shouldn't be too hard for us to find the old-fashioned gas masks used in mines.

Distraction should be simple. This is for people suffering certain inclinations? Easy to scout under such presumptive circumstances.

Fog is possible... this one would think there are means of generating fog in this city which might be charms or even as simple as one solution heard, such as... ice? That is dry?

You don't believer there are any more modern versions of this "gas mask" you speak of?

What do you mean by people with certain inclinations?

Yes, it's possible to make fog with dry ice, but it's not very practical. You need to keep adding the dry ice to some sort of bowl with hot water. It's also dangerous, you can burn yourself by touching it and as it melts it turns into a kind of toxic gas that can lead to asphyxiation. If we do it in the square, it should be an open enough space, but we will need lots of dry ice and hot water. Again, not ideal.

There might be, but if they're too expensive, we might not be able to afford them.

You make a good point on equipment for the mines... I believe we could create some talismans that could function for those who do not have a helmet long term.

Additionally... if the air is unsafe and some have perished there, my brother and I can see if any spirits linger and have some advice for anyone trying to make their way through.

They are written on a paper so not large, depending on what the talisman entails.

Dude, wow...and it doesn't matter how old is the ghost? What if they're evil? Can you help them stop being a ghost and move to the afterlife? Have you ever asked them what's like to be a ghost? Am i asking too many questions?

It does not matter as long as they are willing to communicate. If they are … considered evil, normally it is only because they have something they wish to accomplish in this world that holds them back. Then it is a matter of helping them move on by either convincing them it is not accomplishable, is harmful, or otherwise helping them do so they can leave.

Ah, It's sweet that you try to help them get much needed peace. Most people would be too scared to approach a ghost, much less talk to them. Anyone can become a ghost if they have unfinished matters in the living world?
