[It comes on the network like an intrusive thought -- because it is. Because Shinjiro can't sleep, even with all the talk of distracting activities like movies and pumpkin carving and costume parties. (Where do you even get costumes on a spaceship, anyway?)
Because he can't stop thinking about what Olexa said in that building, at the end. Would you die trying to get that stone back? Cheri's motivations were selfish, but then, aren't theirs too? So-Yeon's hadn't been, and while she'd surrendered the orb, what if she hadn't? What about the next mission?]
do you think the orb is worth killing people for

Besides, how do we know for sure that we can't get back without it? We've only been on the two missions, right? I think we all need to discuss the very real possibility that one mission will take us where the person who has the orb won't relinquish it, or is using it in a peaceful way. I personally don't believe it would be right of us to take it by force in those scenarios, and I wouldn't stand by if one of the other Orbers decided to take matters into their own hands.

dunno if she's lyin
maybe she just won't take us back without it
think you're the first one that's said you'd actually stop other people, though
[It's a little bit of a relief, in a way? He wonders if this guy will follow through.]

Of course I would. My regret isn't worth that.

well, that's what i was asking, more or less
so thanks
do we have any other ways to get back if she decides it's the orb or bust?

I think it's a good idea to try finding an alternative no matter what. We shouldn't rely on Viv.
[Now, if it was EDI, that would be different. But he doesn't know this AI and he doesn't really trust her at the moment. Or the commanding officer]
