[Oh geez. Talk about a loaded question, and blasted out on the network no less. Something that probably got mulled over a lot on this ship, maybe with more seriousness for some than for others.

[Ratchet was treading lightly, knowing it was a sensitive subject for most everyone. Knowing that Shinjiro was young and knowing that all the things they'd seen and done so far had been a little...complicated. Too complicated to want to just barge in with an answer to something that clearly wasn't a straight question.]
