Talk of whoever deserves to be here or not aside, [and Percy absolutely deserves to be here but he's not going to talk about that,] I managed to get into the militia here. More to the point: I've gotten us partway into getting back into contact with Taeum
[Percy looks a little tired, but triumphant, his glasses askew. He readjusts them to sit right on his nose, runs a hand through his white hair, leaving behind traces of dark soot. He's been busy, apparently.]
Entr'i has the orb. She's using it to jam any communications between Sedorum and Taeum, save, of course, for those she allows. She gave a small demonstration of its power when I asked her what she was using to prevent Taeum's forces from spying on Sedorum's communications, but I—
[He falters, then, a moment's vulnerability showing on his face before it quickly smooths over once more. For that moment, he looks as if he's had a glimpse of divinity, and doesn't entirely know what to do with what he saw.]
I managed to...talk to the orb, I suppose. Telepathically. It wasn't—easy, let's say. [An understatement. He's a little rattled, but he's spoken to a goddess before. He's...handling this.] But I explained we were here to help, and it's agreed to drop the shield for us. Now we just need to wait for whoever's in Taeum to contact us.
...we'll need to convince Entr'i to give up the orb, somehow. The only ways I can see to achieve that would be to prove to her she and her army don't need it, or end up engineering a significant upheaval in this world's afterlife. [He drums his fingers on the table, where a couple crude-looking projects are sitting, half-finished.] Neither of those will be easy. I've heard her talk, that is not someone willing to simply give up on a chance to make a change.
Has anyone else found out something we can use?

I talked to some of the locals and many mentioned how Entr'i hasn't been around all that long. And aright after she arrived, pretty much immediately tried to gain followers and recruit people for her militia. She really wants a change, so convincing her to give us the orb wont' be easy unless we shake things around here.

I agree. Given how passionate she is about the need to fight the system and build herself an army, there's definitely a more personal goal at play. It could be revenge, or it could be something else. Do you think she was perhaps kicked out of Taeum?
