... Ugh — could some of you do me a favor and not blow up my phone while I'm busy?

All these months aboard the Ximilia, you've all really been a pain in the ass. Nosy, clingy judgmental pains in my backend; ooooh, I've been waiting for the right time to try this kind of chaos on for size. Did you know how hard it was to pretend to give a damn about the messy bunch of you? These last few days have been especially egregious. Gotta admit, some of you, I almost felt a little bad for. Not you, Peter — can't fucking stand you. It's too bad my aim wasn't as good as it should've been back in Giva, but what can ya do? Pfft, and don't get me started on the Doctor. How many idiots does it take to murder a guy?

[They tug on Newton's slightly crooked tie, yanking it off and flinging it away.]

Oof, much better.

You know what would be even better? Getting rid of you guys at long last. What better way to get even for the ways you've all treated me like a joke all this time? Little disorganized, intolerable Newton Geiszler — the poor, loud, mentally unwell bastard. Mmmyeah, he can be a bastard in plenty of other ways.

Like this one!

[They hold up a switch, flicking it — there's a small quake through the train as the back cars are decoupled and left to slowly fade into the distant railroad. There goes a few orbers and civilians, left to scratch their heads in mortified confusion. Newton looks absolutely tickled by the fact.]

Oooo, love that! This is so fun; you all should try this bad guy schtick more often.

Anyway, have fun, sorry if you end up mauled to death. I'd say it's not personal, but it kind of is. Sooo... bye!

[OOC: A network post to go along with the player plot! Feel free to use this as a way to threadjack/hop around with each other regarding what's happening in the log! Newton will reply to people here as well, though the threads may be a bit brief. The explosion that occurs here aligns with the opt-out prompt in the player log, as it happens at the same time! Here's the main log for all your player plot log needs, as well as the mod's conclusion post! Read those first to know what the hell is going on!]

I can't die. I made promises I have to keep. Sorry for not letting myself get killed so easily. But -- really. What's going on with you? What's wrong? This isn't.....

[Isn't Newt. Something is wrong. Off. Ed might not necessarily be the most perceptive at times when distracted but even so. This is not like Newt. At least from Ed's experiences with the other.]

What can I do?

[To help. Ed still feels the guilt of not shooting to try stop Father and the homunculi from what they did to Ling. As if helping Newt get back to himself might make up for what happened there. It won't. He knows that. But even so. He wants to try help. If he can. Being that much more vulnerable without his alchemy.]

That's not what -- Newt....

[Sure. Newt may have been a little weirder? lately? But that was kind of. Newt. This is something else. Ed is sure of it. He's just not quite putting the pieces together. Yet.]

Why?

We all want -- need the orbs, to fix things. To go back home. We're all working together on that. Let us help, Newt....

[Sure. The orbs were important. They were all working together to acquire them. But Ed hasn't anticipated this. Maybe he should have. That one of their crew - or more, would do this. Get this desperate or selfish. Ed doesn't see how this helps, it simply puts that much more pressure on Newt to get the orbs then if he did manage to kill the rest of the crew. And even Ed is one that more often tries to do everything himself. Mostly.]
