Re: History of the Arch

I spent my time in the university library researching the political and geographical history of this planet, and while much of what I found confirms what others before me have shared (yet nothing of the Orb), I am curious about the origins of the earthquake that created the landmass on which we stand.

According to the old logs, the earthquake and disease that is killing this planet began in what is now the Seventh Circle, and the water purification camp was constructed directly above the epicenter - the very first camp to be built. I found no records of retrieving the Orb or any other artifact from the area. It appears that interest in the epicenter did not exist until 50 years after the event.

Even if the Orb was taken to the First Circle in secret, the fact that something was released by this earthquake seems something into which we should investigate if we want to save this planet.

Our very first mission involved an orb-created plague, and finding a cure for it. I can share what we learned during that mission- my magic played a part in creating the cure, but doing so also required the orb's power.

However, we have more mages among our number. Perhaps our combined talents might be enough.

Was it stated who showed that initial interest?

( if it was a group rather than an individual person, there may still be vestiges of such an organization remaining. something else to pursue.

after a moment, he continues: )

Were you able to find seismic imaging of the region before and after the event, or as a result of whatever process they are using for water extraction? They likely would have needed to image the land to ensure its stability, especially if they hoped to have any longevity to the water collection process at the camp.

( he's hardly an expert in earth jutsu, but kakashi is. if they needed to get underground in the area, it would be better not to go in blind. )

I'd say you're right about that - it stands out... These logs you've referred to: did that include local folklore? Sometimes there's more to that than appearances suggest.
