This is just a quick note to anyone who comes into contact with a red cloak with a blue patch travelling around of it's own accord, almost definitely clutching a small remote thing.

It's drunk on the power of speech and may or may not pursue you at length playing nothing but Hotel California. It comes in peace, but if it gets to be too much you can contact me and I'll come and collect. Please do not attempt to damage either the cloak or the item for your own safety as much as my gratitude. To be clear, this is not a threat.

Good evening, everyone! For those who don't know me, I am Rita Farr, your Team Morale Coordinator.

[ wait, who assigned her that position? ]

As you all well know, we have been joining mission after mission with the intention of collecting orbs to protect the world and save towns from devastation. In a way, you might say we're ... space-travelling superheroes!

And as any superhero would tell you, it's very important to have codenames for our mission. Obviously, we often obtain our very own undercover civilian names. But in the line of duty, when we're in the heat of the fight, we should just as well have assigned titles to continue preserving our identities.

As the Ximilia's Team Morale Coordinator — [ again, who voted her into that position? ] I took it upon myself to select carefully crafted codenames for each and every one of you.

[ she then holds up a sheet of paper, featuring a list of all of the orbers, each with another name printed beside them. ]

You will find this list posted in the Mess Hall. Please take a moment at your best convenience to study the list and memorize each of the names listed for future use. Though I worked very hard to select them — [ she clears her throat, brushing her hair back. ] I suppose that if you have any issue with the name chosen for you, we can discuss making possible changes. Though I don't see why anyone would want to.

He seems to be talking to someone offscreen, but his voice is too muffled to discern, then he frowns in thought as his attention turns back to the broadcast — and the first clearly audible sound is a resonant thump, jarring and loud after near silence.

This time, the view swings around to reveal a tall, well-muscled blond man having what seems to be an epic battle against some tough bread dough. ]

To think there're recipes that require that strength of yours... It'd be all day, if it was me.

[ If even then. Anyone who knows something about Dimitri's strength would know that's an understatement...if a few fist-sized dents in the metal countertop from his kneading efforts aren't evidence enough. ]

Indeed, it's more challenging than I'd have expected.

[ Yet Dimitri seems to be enjoying himself, the faintest of smiles on his lips as he works. ]

It's got the both of us wondering... You all have any favorites from back home? Universe being as fast as it is, it stands to reason there's a great many dishes one or another of us haven't heard of.

[ Dimitri pauses in his work, shooting a look Yuri's way. ]

Don't forget to mention there will be extra bread.

Right, right... Give us a bit, we'll have some fresh bread here. Recipe's from some realm I'd butcher the name of.

Sorry, uh. Can't sleep. I just... People are gone, from before. Like, Clara and the Doctor, Hermann... Rosinante... Drift and Megs, and — I, uh. I didn't really think about it until now, you know? It feels like it's so quiet when I don't hear those voices out in the mess hall, even when it's loud as hell. Clara was — she is my best friend. And so many of these people, they put themselves in harm's way for me. More times than I wanna even admit. People like Sam or Rhys or Blue, they saved my ass. Rey and El. I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for them, and...

And they're gone. And — what do you do?

You gotta carry on, right? Because it's what they would want.

[His voice cracks on the last few words, and he stops, pushes up his glasses to rub his eyes.]

At least it's the kitchen, thank the goddess for small mercies, but after trying his hand at getting electronic doors to open and failing, he's got nothing to do but twiddle his thumbs.

Nothing but that and trying to be a little more sociable, as their little communication network's about the one thing he's got for doing aside checking the state of their food stores. ]

I think this one's one of ours. I remember seeing him on the platform. He's passed out cold, but he has a pulse.

I've got in with the Fables in their underground base of operations. Real sour guy they called Tortoise gave in and let me stick around, but I'm gonna be staying down here until I can prove I'm not some government lackey who'd snitch the first chance she got. Which... fair enough, I guess. Point is, I don't really know when I'll be back up top, but I can at least tell you what I can:

There's Tortoise - Emry's his real name, and he's actually kind of a push-over when you're a sad teenager from the streets. I think he patrols the underground a lot. He doesn't believe in the revolution as much as everyone else, but I guess Viveca saved his life and he feels indebted enough to continue with it. He's cool. Wears a skull-looking mask that makes his voice sound like a chainsmoker. PHOTO ATTACHED

Ya-ting's a chick with a ton of body modifications and seems like parts of her are -- what do you call it? Cybernetic? Anyway, she's crazy good at technology. Like, computers and stuff. She always seems like she's on the HOLONET or whatever it is she's always staring at numbers over. PHOTO ATTACHED

Cinder's her girlfriend. I think. She's got a lot of body modifications -- I don't know if she's even a little organic. Like. At all. PHOTO ATTACHED

Cassandra's around a lot in here, jumping between different jobs. I get the feeling she kind of commands the crew a lot? Or at least seems to always know what they're supposed to be doing next. She helped me get settled in down here. PHOTO ATTACHED

There's an older guy named Ronan who is making 'flycycles'. I've been helping him, but I gotta be honest, I have no idea how any of this stuff works; I just help him find the parts he needs. Which I AM good at, apparently.

The Lion is their chief recruiting officer, but I haven't met them in person. The Wasp was mentioned, but I don't know anything about them; they were just mentioned in passing.

I saw Callan/Hare down here once, so he stops by from time to time, and there are a lot of people without codenames or masks who just help with the humanitarian stuff -- collecting food, first aid supplies, clothes, all that stuff. Whatever they're planning, I'm sure it has to do with the labor camps... but so far, they all seem pretty genuine in what they're doing.

Anyway -- Sorry to say, I haven't seen anything that helps establish where the orb is.

But I think... I'm gonna keep working on helping them out where I can, though. They're our allies more than anything, right? Viveca's people? We all want the same thing, outside of the orb. Soooo I guess this is me saying I'm Team Fables, viva la revolution. Etc.

... And BTW, I'm Stardust on this planet. Try not to call me Ziggy anywhere obvious, huh?

Viveca said that the orb was in the First Circle- and while her information has been frustratingly incomplete at times, it's never been wrong. And it's not in the Chacier House, as far as I can tell.

So assuming it's still in the First Circle, let us review what we know about its possible whereabouts, who might have it, and how we might obtain it.

And finally, some more general notes.

Every mission except Kilnan has ended with a fight. I don't expect this time to be any different, given what we've seen so far, so we should try to prepare ourselves. And even if we're not going to use it to negotiate, I'd like to look into that disease that started during the earthquake, to see if we can find a cure for it. I think it would help this world a great deal if we could- I can share my notes on how we treated the orb-caused plague in Gyeonje.

To: All Re: History of the Arch I spent my time in the university library researching the political and geographical history of this planet, and while much of what I found confirms what others before me have shared (yet nothing of the Orb), I am curious about the origins of the earthquake that created the landmass on which we stand. According to the old logs, the earthquake and disease that is killing this planet began in what is now the Seventh Circle, and the water purification camp was constructed directly above the epicenter - the very first camp to be built. I found no records of retrieving the Orb or any other artifact from the area. It appears that interest in the epicenter did not exist until 50 years after the event. Even if the Orb was taken to the First Circle in secret, the fact that something was released by this earthquake seems something into which we should investigate if we want to save this planet. There's an old metro system underneath this city. We need help accessing it.

All references to it have been censored from official records, but Law found old handwritten notes that mention that the city as it once stood was destroyed in the big earthquake, and train lines that used to exist were abandoned for the above-ground systems for safety.

Someone's using these old metro lines to deliver humanitarian supplies. We found boxes labeled with incorrect weights that had extra shipments of medicine, blankets, dismantled gear - all being received by Chiayi at the Golden Courtyard hotel.

We'd like to investigate these tunnels, but all three of us are registered on the HOLONET, and it seems that anything that happens on the HOLONET is accessible by the government agents that work with it. We don't want to compromise the safety of the people working to supply humanitarian aid, but we'd like to know more about what's going on down there, especially in case the orb is also hidden down there somewhere.

So: is there anyone here who is still unregistered, and who can drop everything and go tunnel-diving? Or, say, anyone who has a different method of seeing what's in there without being there in person?

You'll all have to forgive me taking a minute to organize this, but we don't have "networks" like this in Fódlan. It takes getting used to.

But anyhow. A little bird - or rather, a whole flock of them - had an awful lot of chittering to do about the Day family.

The way I hear it, they've got a tendency to live beyond their means. Mashall's wedding was more extravagant than he could afford, Terra and Helios tend to party more than they can afford... You get the idea.

Rumors you might take with a grain of salt, but there's more. Apparently Jove's business was failing and he must not have a sterling reputation, because people suspect he had a financial stake in Hortensia's death.

Which...honestly, only fuels the suspicions I had already about the killer's potential motives. But then, where I'm from, that wax in his hand really would only be used to seal letters or documents. And wherever did whatever it was fixed to wind up...?

Anyway, make of it what you will, but that's what I've been hearing. The locals don't seem to look on that family too kindly.
