Pardon the interruption, but perhaps now is a good time as any to parse through our current intelligence. I’ve offered a simple template of questions to get the ball rolling, so to speak—

- What/Where/Who have you investigated?
- What do we know from said investigation?

I believe these should be clear-cut to answer. Now, I may lack the proper rigorous experience like the lot of you. But it would be to our benefit to double-check the unmarked areas within this town.

I talked to Debbie, the lady who used to babysit the Cooper kid. Said he was a little weird, that it feels like something has been following her for years - something evil. She said he was a kinda creepy, Sam - Halloween/All Hallow's Day was his favorite holiday, obsessed with horror movies, said he knew a ghost - Freddy, I'm assuming. Course, she thought it was a prank, but I think we all know better.

Anyway - she said he never said anything about hearing voices or having wishes granted, so I'm not sure if he's got anything to do with the orb or not.

Has anyone thought that maybe Freddy is a real ghost, and he's the one who made the wish?

A while back, an orb granted a wish to bring a whole town back to life. The one who made the wish was the only living thing for miles.

maybe it's the other way around this time. maybe all these people are ghosts and freddy's the only one alive

How do we stop one?

Salt circle will trap them, iron will make them temporarily disappear.

Usually, you need to find the body. Salt and burn the bones.

how do you get rid of it if you can't find the body?
or if it never had one in the first place?

that's half the problem back home. sometimes the bodies are hard to find or they've been cremated, but that's when we start looking for cursed objects, or something that ties the spirit to the land of the living. a flask, locks of hair.

that's just it isn't it, what is this thing? it's textbook ghost imo but if there's no body/locks of hair/etc i'm a little stumped.

It's possible. If Freddie wished for something four years ago that caused the town to become "haunted," it may have scared Sam into leaving.

Kinda what I was thinking. Big question is why would he do that? How's it benefit him?

The orb is the embodiment of chaos. Freddie may have intended to help Sam in some way, and the orb may have manipulated his desire into circumstances Sam found horrifying instead.

Maybe he was trying to help with the horror movie thing, and instead turned Sam's life into a horror movie.

It's possible. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem very inclined to answer questions from anyone who isn't Sam.

a few people said they have, though from the sound of it, none of them trapped and interrogated him specifically.

If he is a spirit, there should be a record of his death, as well.
