Much of what we heard confirms what has been shared: the Songbird Brigade came closest to recovering the orb; Dweyre wanted to do the right thing, and the rest kept going in his memory; they tracked the orb down, but then Ellia apparently attacked Jun.

Our missing Songbird, Ellia Roundtree, joined the brigade for Dweyre. When he died, she stayed for Degar, wanting to look after Dweyre’s little brother, I guess. After he disappeared, she stuck around until the Incident. Hilly,〈 hillard at no point gave them permission to call her “hilly”— 〉 was just as surprised as Alena that Ellia stayed as long as she did. Said she wasn’t motivated by fame or fortune; her “problem” was caring too much.

All things considered, it’s looking like Ellia didn’t agree with whatever the plan was for after they found the orb. But the only one who can tell us for sure is her.

[Except Sabriel can think of only one bargain Ellia might make, and all evidence points to Dweyre being truly dead.]

She's the only one we haven't been able to speak to. But we won't understand what happened until we do.

No, but- listen, if she wanted to make a bargain, wouldn't the obvious one be to bring Dweyre back? But he's still dead. So either she doesn't have the orb, or she's trying to keep it out of someone else's hands?

Not sure where you think I have this info? But sure, for the sake of speculation, that's a reasonable assumption to make. But we won't know for sure until, you know, someone finds her.

This is for the sake of speculation, yes. But having some idea of why she did what she did will be helpful if we need to negotiate with her for the orb.
