Still, some practicalities need to be dealt with. So:]

Ah, hello! I've never done something like this before--I hope I'm doing it right, ahah. But my name is Vash. I'm new around here, and I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the maintenance of prosthetics? I might've damaged my arm a little bit before I was brought here, and my usual mechanic isn't here...

[He rubs at his neck, a little sheepishly.]

What sort of metal is it? I can potentially fix it, but I can't guarantee shit. Don't know much about how yours works in comparison to mine, after all.

[A2 gets a rundown roughly along these lines, because fandom knows more about prosthetics and anatomy than me, along with some possible suggestions for alloys or durable plastics or such that could be used for repairs or replacements of any cracked parts inside.]

What sort of fix did you need, just so I'm clear? Rewiring? Circuitry repairs? Issues with motor parts or stabilizers?

there's cracks in the casing and in some of the moving parts
there might be some damage to the wiring underneath too, but i couldn't say to what extent

[Trying to fix his own arm one-handed when it's not an emergency hadn't seemed like the best idea.]

I can see what I can do, but I can't promise anything. Do you know the basics of your own repairs, at least? I assume you're asking because self-repair is shit on your own.

Yeah, I can keep it functional for now, but it's not exactly ideal to do it with just one hand, haha.
