The mission files on the station are corrupted. A sample of 4 for certain, including the crew's most recent mission, enough to extrapolate that the rest could be the same. All files and functions aboard this station are part of Olivia's wider access. While the files exist in the Ximilia's programming, so does the corruption exist within 0-L1V-14. There's no separating them from her without deleting them.
I've asked her to isolate them all and deny direct access requests
DO NOT ATTEMPT to access the mission files directly. The consequences are steep, immediate, and it's impossible to know for certain how far-reaching.
We have the option to delete the files, but the fact that they're corrupted speaks to their significance.
We need to be careful what we do here. Time and reality are fickle friends on the best of days. Aboard the Ximilia we have no universal law to fall back on.
If anyone has any further insight, good time to share with the class.
[ It's somewhat disjointed, peppered with wizardly wisdom, thoughts ordered until they're interrupted by themselves and then fall back into line again - but he's said everything he needs to say, and he can manage the rest in shorter bursts if people get back to him. It'll do. ]
( ooc. Stephen had a chat with Olivia and ended up having a not good very bad time. Feel free to infoshare, theorise and threadjack etc to your heart's content! )

[ Sorry for being short, Felix, it's nothing personal ]
private; with some attempt at securing the line
Great. I can't tell you how secure this line is considering we can still communicate with the station's systems right now but I also know the AI can listen and see everything on the station anyway.
[So a verbal conversation in person wouldn't really help make it private. He doesn't have time (or desire) to figure out if his suit could secure a line for them since no one else had the same tech but he fiddles a little anyway and then yolo's out this info dump.
There's also an extra moment here where it occurs to him that Olivia had been watching the hell out of his every movement back then because of certain...tech shoved into him, and wondered if she could still track that or if it wasn't connected to the station at this time if it had been an upgrade added for their team specifically when Viveca and Degar began the recruiting process. Well, it didn't matter at the moment.]
Well, when I first arrived on the station Olivia was just waking up after a stint of "inaction." Her programming was thought to be lost entirely at the time. Of course, there were some technical difficulties with her coming back online due to the outdated processes of her core--and the fact the station had a new AI in place since then. Viveca and Degar explained the situation as best they could and we dealt with the issues. Olivia was sitting tight in a nice new structure. All comfy and safe.
You know. All back in our time.
[Do you kinda get the gist of what he's saying without him going into too much detail on the specifics? She was corrupted, erased, and then slowly put herself back together and caused problems coming back online. They dealt with her. As an assurance in case she was listening in, he included the fact that she's still alive in their time...that part was true at least and not an added lie but very purposefully included.]
private; using the same secured line
Are they meddling with the future to unknown effect? Are their actions creating the future they've already lived, an inevitable conclusion? All his understanding and experience of time means nothing when the laws that underlie it are stripped from the equation. ]
I see.
[ He'll need time to sit with that, time to start to use the conundrum to clear his head, see how the pieces knit together. Delayed, as it occurs to him I see isn't much of a response to the gift of information. ]
Thanks
[ Yes, so much better. ]
private; secured line
Well then.]
Right. You're welcome.
[a beat and then an extra line appears]
I'm sure this will all be very fun.
