I mean, I picked it up easily because I grew up reading alchemy texts the way Winry did with medical stuff instead of picture books almost, given our families. Plus, I had an amazing teacher. And I guess a natural talent and intelligence for it, being considered a prodigy. It's not impossible. Just a lot of work so most people don't bother learning alchemy even back home. And the ones that do, not all of those are in the military like I am to be considered that capable with it.

[Though of course that is how he knows most other alchemists, there are exceptions. Ed isn't meaning to dismiss the idea, just be realistic on how effective it might be to try teach given it takes time and with their situation of being off on missions every so often.]

I wouldn't mind trying to teach, but. I'm just saying it is a lot to learn is all. Nobody's gonna learn it overnight, just being realistic. If someone wants to learn and is okay with that, that's fine. I can go over some basics at least.
