[ Desert heat isn't really anything new to him, but last time he found himself in a similar situation, he was way more prepared. Or, rather, the army was more prepared. But he's managed to see to shelter, for now, and what he really wants is to get out of here as quickly as possible.

Those of you who got dropped in the desert-- What do we think about that tower that's uncomfortable to look at? I think we should check it out, but I get the feeling that's not something you do alone.

[ Time passes, and Sherlock still hasn't replied to Watson's post. That right there should be a sign of something wrong because while Sherlock may ignore the network at times, certain people are almost always going to get some kind of reply. Sherlock sneaks back to whatever camp has been set up to gather a few supplies for the trek before heading back out and continuing on his solo investigation.

He may not realize he has company. ]

[ A quiet Sherlock Holmes is generally not good. Which is why, when he comes back and leaves just as quietly, John follows along. The tower is far enough away that just because Sherlock is moving toward it, it doesn't mean that's his goal. The desert it vast, after all.

It's pretty likely, though.

So it doesn't take too long before stops trying to be sneaky about it. ]
