[ Peter's right arm is in a sling, but he doesn't look worse for wear, just tired after the last mission but with a small smile on his face. ]

'Sup, everyone! What crazy weeks have been, uh? Who had 'the orbs are actually sentient and want to be used' in their bingo card? Not me, for sure, but it seems like there's more to these glowing magic balls than we first thought. That said, great job on the last mission, guys. No one died, and that's pretty good for my standards, I think we all have earned a well-deserved break.

[ Not only that, but his talks with Yelena about interrupted childhoods and missing family holidays had convinced Peter that there's no time like the present to enjoy these things. He had promised her a party, after all. ]

Going by Terra's calendar, er...Earth's calendar, in a couple of weeks it will be Halloween. It's a holiday from my homeworld where you light bonfires, wear costumes to ward off ghosts, and eat a lot of sweets. I hope I don't have to explain why making fires inside a space station is a bad idea, so let's focus on the sweets and scary costumes.

On October 30th there will have a pumpkin carving competition and a horror movie marathon because those are the quintessential activities of this kind of holiday. You can't have Halloween without it, although I've heard that some deranged people carve pineapples instead. [ He raises his eyebrows for a moment and makes a face that clearly shows how he considers those people to be insane. ] If you're competitive, the contest is a great opportunity to show everyone why you're the best with a knife without murdering anyone.

The next day, on October 31th, we will have the main event! A nightly Halloween costume party hold in the common living area. You can even do couple costumes. Everything is optional, of course, but come on, let yourself feel the spirit of the season.

[Daisy hasn't been to any sort of themed party in a very long time. And anything halloween related? It's been even longer. Working with SHIELD didn't leave too much downtime, especially the last few years.]

[Yelena has been a little depressed since returning to the station. Now that the mission is over she doesn’t have as much to distract her from the fact that Natasha has vanished. She perks up when she sees Peter's video, though.]

[She'd been considering finding Peter and bugging him about it, but it looks like she doesn’t have to.]

[ Peter is still unaware of that, and he didn't have the chance to meet Natasha before the mission. He does know how much she means to Yelena, if she wants to talk about it, he is there to listen or to offer comfort. ]

[ Hard to cook with just one hand, you see, but he's going to make her the promised candied oranges dipped in chocolate. ]

Oh, yes. The orbs are to some degree sentient. You surely heard it speak to you just as we arrived to Braccia. [Did they all just forget to talk about that when the last crew came in? Whoops!] The contract to 'undo your regret' is with them directly, actually, not Viveca or her team.

[A pause.] Though, you mentioned... Halloween? And you're from Earth? [Not Tyria??]

I didn't know that, this was my first mission. And yes, I've heard a voice before I woke up in the station for the first time but back then I thought I was dreaming. This is...pretty worrisome.

Yes, I am. But I haven't lived on Earth for decades, I've been traveling the galaxy. Are you familiar with the holiday?

[It sure is a thing! Stuck in a magical contract with sentient orbs that seemingly chase chaos. No wonder they picked a bunch of desperate people.]

Surprisingly, though I'm not from Earth. [It's a human holiday, and humans did come from some other planet, but he thought this one originated in Tyrian history.] Do you know what it celebrates?

Oooh, Halloween! Blimey, I've never celebrated one before — I mean, not in the strict sense of the word. Did a bit of dressing up too, but it was a little less about costumes.

[ There was some vague dabbling during Samhain once; also stopped a series of Witch Trials that could have ended very, very badly, but that ... probably doesn't quite count. ]

That sounds about right, even if it was my first mission. I woke up at the station only a couple of days before we've got sent to Braccia. These last weeks had been exciting, but I'm used to shorter missions.

[ One step closer to...something. Peter's not sure what, and he's a bit skeptical about the chance to fix their mistakes, but since he's stuck here with other people, he's trying to be a team player. ]

Never? That's a shame, it's one of the most fun holidays you can have, in my biased opinion. Dressing up is always entertaining, but I admit that my favorite part is the sweets. As for the prize, uhm...[ Ooopps, he forgot to consider that people might actually want something in return. ] The winner gets the satisfaction of being the winner! And also....homemade cookies. I'll make them myself.

[ It's sensible, really, to be skeptical of this agreement they've made with the station. The Doctor remains cautiously optimistic about the whole affair — partially because he believes there's a chance he can get his regret undone irregardless of whether it's a fixed point or not, and partially because he dares these dealmakers to make it happen. ]

Oh, yes — [ The Doctor flicks his channel over to video to match, and then offers a friendly wave. ] Hello! I'm the Doctor, nice to meet you. I saw you about back on Braccia, you were the bloke with the boots, eh?

What sort of movies? I haven't seen a lot of them back home but I remember there was one where this person transmuted themselves to become a fly or something I think it was. I dunno, it's been years since I saw a movie or whatever.

[Which. Has to change, clearly. He's a teenager that is part of the job description, right? Except not in his case given he was so focused on his promise to Al back home and all.]

Ey, Ed! It's super fun, and it's only a pity that at the station we can't go trick or treating, you'd have liked that I am sure. And yes, that's the idea. Skulls, bats, tombstones, witches, horned monsters, skeletons, black cats, vampires or mummies... all these would be perfect, since they're the classic monsters. Bedsheet ghosts too.

[ Peter would be happy to see Ed enjoying himself with the decorations once he realizes what Halloween is about. ]

Scary ones! About ghosts, monsters, or mysterious murderers that need to be stopped...I'm trying to avoid any with Aliens because we don't need to get paranoid while living in a space station. Ohh I think I know the movie you are talking about. We've got a similar one in my world, but I wasn't allowed to watch it as a kid.

[ The thing is...Peter never got to talk to Natasha or Shuri, but he did notice that Steve is gone. It's upsetting, to say the least. He knows this will be hard on the other Avengers present, and specially on Yelena. ]

I think we all could use a small break. [ There's a pause and then his expression eases into something less playful, more concerned. ]
