( Tony looks neatly composed and quietly serious, backlit by dappled sunlight. )
Morning, everyone. If we haven't met before- very likely -my name is Tony Stark. I've got a few things to cover; promise I'll be brief.
First, there will be a small celebration of life for Natasha Romanoff in the Sunlight room this Sunday at noon. If you knew her, even in passing, you're welcome to attend.
( He lets that sit for a second, like he can't let the moment go, the finality of it, before he continues, a touch more light: )
Second, I know a lot of us took a pretty stiff beating a week ago, and there's some sad, busted gear on the station. I can repair almost anything that needs it, short of slapping on a fresh coat of paint, so I'll be in the lab daily for the next week to address any immediate needs.
Lastly- ( the image zooms out to showcase Tony on a jogging path bordered by trees and a body of water, with a familiar big city on all sides. A bird sings from somewhere in the foliage, it's real pretty and he put effort in, okay. ) -I'm starting a station running club. Inaugural meeting is in thirty minutes in the simulation room. I'll be tidying things up until then.
Thank you for your time, all that jazz.

[ Ah, crap. Peter is more familiar with Yelena than Natasha, and he knows that her sister now being gone will hit her hard. Not to say he didn't respect and value Natasha's sacrifice as well. ]
no subject
She went home sometime after the gala, near as we can tell.
no subject
[ Six degrees of separation, and all that, yes. ]
I don't suppose Viveca would give us answers if we ask what happens to those who disappear from the station?
no subject
They go back where they came from. Apparently.
no subject
Peter makes a face at that, he really don't enjoy that answer.]
Ah...well, fuck. [ Eloquent. ]

[ It goes without question, of course. Sam might not show the extent to which he's hurting, but he'll be there to honor Natasha, and to support his friends. ]
Got a bit of a small project for you, too. Probably more of a snack for you, but I'd prefer to discuss that in person.
no subject
Cool. You want to walk and talk? ( With a gesture at his surroundings, ) I did write the perfect spot.
-> action
[ The expression might be old, but the joke will never be. ]
I'll meet you in 5.
[ And he does, accompanied by Redwing no less. ]
You been keeping to Not-Doctor's orders of rest and mild exercise, right? Would hate to rat you out to a medical professional, if we ever get one.
no subject
Jogging is mild exercise, ( he insists, ) Moving around is good. I think if I had to lie on my side like that again I'd rather get shoved out an airlock. Just- ( Tony pushes his hands out before him like he's defenestrating an invisible him. )
So what's going on? ( gonna eye Sam, a cunning gleam in his eye, ) I heard there were snacks.
no subject
Did I ever tell you this is model number 3 by now? Same with the other tech.
[ Sam puts his hands in his pockets as they walk, thinking. ]
So I heard a rumor you're some sort of tech guy... [ There's that teasing note in his voice. ] I figured it would be convenient to be able to send Redwing's scans and input to other people, or the crew at large. Problem is - I can't interfact him with the station tech. And frankly, I don't wanna give the station a backdoor into my shit, either. So I was thinking, hey, why not ask the smart guy if it's possible to set us up a network bubble that Viveca can't access, but that Redwing can say hi to?

[Ah. She probably should specify exactly what she's referring to here.]
For Natasha. And for the running. I could use a good distraction right about now.
no subject
( Knowing Natasha touched more lives outside their small circle of Avengers isn't surprising, just that much more heartbreaking. )
Uh, yeah, same. Don't worry about gear- shoes and stuff -if you don't have it, I programmed some wardrobe options in, too.

[She appreciates the opportunity to just do something physical that isn't related back to violence. So many aspects of the missions here end up with people needing to fight. And she can if she must, but just doing something simple like running is more her speed.]
I'll make sure to bring enough water for everyone.
[She's not the programming sort, so her bringing water is her way of contributing. She can't show up to a running club without some kind of offering.]
no subject
Y'know that is a great idea. There's water fountains, but they're effectively useless, it's all just- ( he bats at an overhanging leaf, ) Hard light and mouthfeel.

Do we still get the experience of too many tourists, giving up and taking the tram to Roosevelt Island instead?
no subject
I'll consider it for a future update. I've got a good chunk of Columbus Circle built, but it's mostly inhabited by pigeons right now.

Yeah, absolutely. Maybe they can chase stragglers, provide some inspiration.

It’s a nice idea, though. She can’t deny that. She feels like she should say something, but she’s not sure what.
Eventually she responds with:]
Okay.
[No one ever said she was good at this.]
private;
Tony swallows, wetting his lower lip, and ventures, )
Thought it might be nice to share about her life, and our time with her. No expectation, just, if you feel comfortable.

[Her memories are fragmented, vague flashes from early childhood. She held on to them desperately because they were the only happy memories she had for most of her life.
In all honesty, the Avengers probably do know Natasha better, as much as it chafes Yelena to admit it.]
She dyed her hair blue when she was ten. That’s something, I guess.

She went home, and she's gone there.

I'll be there though for the celebration of life.
not here.
not here either

Um. You know, I'll be there! For the celebration on Sunday, and if you wanna... run.
I gotta admit, I'm terrible at exercising, but if I do it long enough it might help me actually go to sleep when I should.
no subject
( llllllet's move on because wow, is he unpracticed at not showing emotion lately, fuck, )
You should! Definitely helps. Start slow and build up, we'll get you running a 5k in no time.
no subject
But I'll do my best.
[And, because he totally gets it, he doesn't linger on that more emotional topic.]
Gotta say, congrats on being in shape. Being indoors 24/7 really messed with an exercise routine for me. But I did dance a lot in the lab, especially since it tormented Hermann.
