[ after attempting to follow some small footprints from the dining room, kovacs briefly hears some strange and suspicious laughter that echoes out for only a short time before it's gone.
— the fuck? ]
Has anyone heard some creepy fucking kids giggling in the hallways?
Or seen some tiny feet trailing around?

When I opened it, I realized it was a music box with the figure of a ballerina in it. But the ballerina has no head, as if someone had snapped it off. The head wasn't inside the music box.
I still have it, the melody is quite pleasant and Nessie also likes it.

[ but the mention of a snapped head — ]
Hold on, did you say — [ he digs into his coat pocket, pulling out the small clay head piece he'd found under the dining table. ] Does this fit on there?

Nessie is the whale-dinosaur like creature that my team found when we were investigating the storage room. There's a trap door on the ground, it leads to what we think it's a different place, not the city below the castle, and it has a moat. The creature is very shy but friendly.
[ His brows knit together, and he leans in as if he could give whatever Kovacs is holding a better look. And then; ]
OH! DUDE YOU FOUND IT! Let me just... I have the jewelry box around here... [ Peter's end of the feed goes dark, but it only last a few seconds. Once he's back, he's holding the jewelry box with the headless ballerina and grinning. ] Where are you? We should see if it fits.

[ he's not even going to try to piece that together, or even try to imagine how that might be relevant to anything going on in this castle.
but when quill pulls up the jewelry box, kovacs tries to give it a closer look, examining the cracked part of his own clay and decides it looks similar enough, at least while not having it right in front of him. ]
I'm over near the dining room now. Not sure it'll give us anything new just by putting it together, but — maybe it opens some secret shit in the box. Who knows?

[ They're in a castle that is alive. Taking that into consideration, moat- monsters aren't that odd, in Peter's opinion. ]
I'll come over. And yeah, who can tell with this castle. Even if it doesn't help the overall mission, the music box will be fixed, so that's nice too.
