Brevity is the soul of wit and getting us the hell out of here, so I'll try to keep this to the point.

I've managed to speak to Remi, and now that I'm awake, I've been putting together what we already know. This deal with the orb, this 'phyllie' went awry, and now Remi has been feeding it immense arcane energy to keep up his end of the bargain. We all got a pretty good idea by now of how that's going.

I offered a possible solution, and it involves getting past that Sphynx and finding his body. The idea of offering something on our end to counteract the curse has been thrown around, and while Remi wasn't convinced it would work, he has expressed a willingness to try.

If you've seen me around, you've likely seen the greatsword strapped to my back. It's an artifact from Cybertron that siphons energy from my spark- the very essence of my life. Arguably you could call it my soul, but I doubt we want to waste time on a philosophical debate. My point is that energy can be channeled and redirected.

We juice Phyillie with pure, living energy and cross our fingers.

If that doesn't work, now would be an excellent time to develop plans B and C.

So, let me just get a read on this.

If Megatron or any one of your cybertronian pals were offering up their spark, you would be 100% all for him handling it on his own, with nobody else providing back-up to try and minimize the harm done to him. Totally wouldn't leap up to provide your own power source as a group effort?

I don't think I can be impartial about Megatron.

This isn't the death sentence you think it is, and I'll take the help. I just believe the sword idea is a good starting point.

I'm just saying, man. You'd willingly be the only source to cut back on danger for everyone else, but you'd also not want anyone else to do this kind of thing without back-up. We know this heroic song and dance.

And maybe it's not a death sentence. Maybe it'll be the equivalent of a paper cut for humans. But your equally ancient pal seems to be worried about it hurting you, and I think out of all of us he'd know better.

Maybe we can use the sword as a base, but work in other stuff. The more the orb senses, the more interest it'll have in ditching its current owner. Either way, it sounds like our best bet to get the orb to let the wizard and kid go. Overload its hunger, get it to unlatch.

Does your sword also channel other funky stuff? Maybe it can be a conduit or something for everyone's offers. Have you ever tried channeling other life essences and magics through it? Maybe make it one big juicy Energy Pie?
