[There's a bit of a hesitant pause, before;]
I do feel like we can say with a relative amount of certainty that there is some sort of higher power in Taeum, presumably the Highest One that Angrial refers to, and they seem, based on what Finn and I sensed, to have an Orb. I'm not sure what that means for reports of the orb potentially being in Sedorum, but frankly, this whole situation is bullshit and if there are in fact two orbs or two parts of one whole orb that we have to figure out a way to combine, I wouldn't be surprised.
In any case, this is Trafalgar Law, reporting in that Daisy, Finn, Cora and myself have been branded traitors and taken into custody for attempting to breach the area where the orb is contained. I don't have access to my abilities and I assume the same goes for the other three.
[A long pause where Law presumably just silently ruminates on the fact that he has ended up in Heaven Jail and really of course this would happen.]
This is not a request for a rescue, simply something to keep in mind as work to find the orb continues. As well as a test on my part to confirm that our comms are still functional from in here.
[ETA: Despite what Law says there is now an OOC plotting post re: potential jailbreak ideas.]

[He's over it. Execution smexecution.]
But not really. This place is hard to keep your bearing in with how large it is.
[But even if he did know he wouldn't tell anyone because he doesn't want help so this could be a lie.]
no subject
[Well, he can't comment on that given the many attempts on his own life before. Sometimes you just live dangerously.
The other part is worrying, but since Law doesn't sound worried, maybe it's not so bad. In any case, he can't rush in blindly on his own for it so-- it's effective in preventing him from attempting a rescue.
At least, until they have a plan.]
Keep safe in there. We'll see what we can do to prevent that.
[The execution might be more of an issue than them being in jail.]
How far did you get in your search?
no subject
That depends on what you define as "far." Finn was able to get a sense of where it was, he seemed to get a bead on it above the ceiling of the war room. We weren't able to actually see it, and when we tried to bring the ceiling down, that was when we got caught and brought here.

Sounds like it could be related to the Highest One. We heard rumors about them while looking around.
If there are two orbs, how bad is it?
no subject
That seemed to be the case. Finn and I both got a sense of the person that was up there with the orb, and they seemed to be someone who had a lot of power, and we know it's not Angrial.
But I don't know what there being two orbs would mean in comparison to the other missions. It sounds like one is bad enough already.
no subject
I wonder if that's why Viveca sounded so surprised.
I don't want to find out what happens if they use it, not when they're working on building an army.
Still, it's weird. If they wanted a war, and they had this orb with them, what are they waiting for?
no subject
That's a good question. Is it simply a matter of gathering troops? But if you have the orb, shouldn't you be confident in your victory regardless?
... Unless the troops aren't for fighting the actual war.
[Frowning audibly.]
no subject
... What do you mean?
[What else would you collect troops for in a place like Taeum?]
no subject
The orbs requires a price to be paid to do what the holder wishes, correct? What if the troops aren't for fighting but for fodder?
no subject
... Shoot.
[Yeah, that-- that was a terrible yet possible reason. Yamato freezes, eyes widening a smidge in horror at the thought. That was a huge problem if that were the case.]
Would they really do that? I mean, what else do they even need that would require such a sacrifice?
no subject
I don't know. I don't know what sort of person Angrial or this "Highest One" is. But I know I've seen governments being willing to sacrifice the lives of large groups of people for less.
I'm not saying I think it's the most likely scenario but it's not impossible from what I understand of the orbs.
