[ if someone told clarice she'd be reaching out to the rest of her cohort almost the instant she finds her footing on the station, she'd have laughed in their face. frankly, she would have preferred to keep her head down, stay out of the way until she was needed.

but some things were necessary, and dealing with a whole set of people whose backgrounds and experiences she had no clue about necessitated some information-gathering.

reaching out anonymously seemed like a good compromise. ]

[ she's here for one reason, and one reason only. making a list of those she had to steer clear from is only going to help her achieve her goal in the long run. ]

what does that word mean to you?

[ In that case, Peter won't insist. She will be ready when she's ready. ]

Celestial powers, yes, but...Nah, not a half-god anymore, just plain old me. Long story short, I had to give up my powers to make sure my Celestial biological father didn't devour the whole galaxy. It was a fair trade.

I do miss being able to manipulate matter and make an 50 foot statue of Pacman though. That was fun.

As for God, my team travel with one now. Or we did before I ended here. Thor, god of Thunder and probably also beer.
spacedisaster: (Well that's splendid)

[ You never know with this place, it makes people open up eventually. Maybe is the Stockholm syndrome. ]

They're all mostly assholes and full of themselves. You're not missing much.
spacedisaster: (No it's much worse)

Oh no I was already an asshole before I got god-like powers.

[ This is text, yet somehow she can probably hear the self deprecating tone in the words. ]

But I got better-ish. I had my own character development and stuff through the years. It's amazing how having a team that you can trust like your own family helps with these sort of things.

It's an easy and admit that a big part of it is both luck and being willing to put your faith in others. It's the trickiest part but it can be really rewarding in the long run.

Then I'm sorry, that's hard.

Hopefully things will be better here. This place is hardly perfect but people do look after each other.
spacedisaster: (Serious talk)

Good question.

I've been here for half a year. There are people I am friends with. There are people I trust to make the right call during a mission, no matter the situation. Sometimes those two groups overlap, but not always.

You need to understand that we all come from different worlds and timelines, so culture shock is inevitable. That said, as a whole, we are also united by our desire to find the orbs and do better, to fix our past mistakes. Even when we disagree on things, we try to find a compromise.

spacedisaster: (I don't like this either)

Hm. No, I don't think so. Not anymore.

[ Not after what happened with this father Ego.]

Welcome. You know my handle but my name is Peter Quill. If you ever want to talk more, just hit me up.

Best luck, anon.
spacedisaster: (Don't worry I've got this)

It's nice to meet you, Clarice.

Thanks for sharing.
spacedisaster: (Oh hello there ~)

[ Being given a name is more than he expected, so that is good enough. ]

Likewise, Clarice. Take care.
