I just had an interesting conversation with Detective Pinot, if anyone would be available to hash out some of the details.

Points of interest include:
The fact Felix Day was also an archaeologist who died some years back in the course of the Days' work.
Unlike Hortensia, the whole family did not meet for his funeral.
In fact, the youngest may not have even met some of the older siblings.
Hortensia Day had a higher public profile than her husband. It sounds like the local tabloids enjoyed playing up the romantic adventure and history angle with the Days' work.
Allegedly, there is a whole 'uncovered history' in the caves and dig sites outside of Craemore.

Feels like some of that might be relevant, in light of what else we've been uncovering.

Some of the family more than others, probably. From the sound of it, it might be impossible to be close to all of them.

They weren't even close to one another.

I don't know if that's just sad, or if it means there are conflicting loyalties to account for.

We can't rule it out at least. That aside, it's safe to say they don't know each other well and we have to consider that there's not a lot of sentimentality between them.
