๏ผ there are a variety of reasons he has resisted making this announcement, chiefly among them that he is as fiercely protective of viveca's privacy as he is his own โ however, he is keenly aware that such desire does not follow a pragmatic path. viveca must have known that sending them to this world would make her history impossible to conceal. his own tendency to withhold information from others needs to be set aside if they have any hope of bettering this โ her โ world.
he has spoken on the matter to a few people, those he trusts more than not โ but his conversation with sam has resulted in the realization that if viveca is... upset at others learning the truth of her nature, she may as well be so with him. at least he can control the narrative, and stave off attempts at ferreting out further information about her.
thus, his delivery is entirely without embellishment โ ๏ผ
E-23b is Viveca's world of origin. Those of you who have spoken with her on the matter may recall her propensity to say that she built herself โ it seems she was human, and as such had a hand in the design of her digital parameters. She is the daughter of the Mayor, Jacques Reman and his wife Alexandra โ with whom I have spoken directly โ and was the original leader of the Fables known by the animal moniker 'Fox'.
I will not speculate on the circumstances that resulted in her being as we know her, nor explain my certainty โ do not ask.
Sam Wilson is currently speaking with the Hare, confirmed to be Callan de la Cruz, and he is the source of our learning of Viveca's identity as the Fox. Presently, he appears to be an ally, and Viveca seemed to trust him โ it was the symbol of the revolution that she gave Sam that sparked their conversation. If anyone can think of any information that may be pertinent to our efforts and possibly known by the Hare, please direct your queries to Sam. He is in an unknown location, and his ability to return communication is limited due to the nature of his situation. I do not believe him to be in any amount of danger, however โ I would suggest that you respect both his time and his discretion in this.
๏ผ the message ends there, for a time. some moments later, he amends it: ๏ผ
Collectively, we owe Viveca a great debt. I cannot think of better repayment than helping her home in a way that she can be proud of.

If she's here, if her physical body is here, we might be able to bring it back with us when we return.

( And if too much brain death occurred... he knows of one way to reverse it, but it would mean asking for the serum. )

With every other impossible thing this group of people have done, this might not be impossible.

If we find her, unless she's capable of breathing on her own and nothing else is wrong, we may need a portable life support system to keep her body alive during the transfer. Getting her to the station, and getting her consciousness, if that's what we want to call it, back in the right place, will take more than hope.

I don't hold hope about this, doctor. Hope never gets you anywhere, but power does.

You don't bank on being able to bring someone back, you do your best to forestall any chance of them dying in the first place. Can you keep a heart beating if we need to move her without a convenient beam-out to the station? While your very essence is atomized and reassembled? Power, sir, is useless without strategy.
Viveca wouldn't be the first comatose patient I've transferred via transporter. They have technology here that can do the work of multiple people. What I am suggesting is that we use it, because it will help us help her without asking undue strain on our magic users, especially if the situation may call for your skills elsewhere.
And all of this is hypothetical anyway.
( Here's where he's sighing in the lab, rubbing the bridge of his nose. )
If she's truly here, if she's in Chacier House under lock and key, it's unlikely that she'll be released willingly. The fact that we don't fully understand the entire situation, the why and how her consciousness was separated in the first place, the state of her body and the extent of the medical care she's received since then, leave too much room for uninformed guesswork.
Jacques Reman could be doing the best for her that he knows how, with the information he hasโ and regardless of our best intentions, we will be taking a child from her father.

This is a doctor - a Healer, someone dedicated to saving lives and lessening the pain.]
I can see that you are well-versed in this, far more than I could hope to be. In all honesty, the people I have saved and carried to safety, did not have the luxury of technology and I still struggle to remember that it can help as well as hinder our efforts.
If you need power, doctor, I am at your disposal for this.
A father wants what is best for his child, or so I've heard. Perhaps he could be convinced to help us restore her to her rightful place.

Thank you, Kirigan. Once we know more, we can do more, and we're at our best when we can work together.
If we have the opportunity to speak with Jacques Reman, we should take it.

If I find a way, I will let you know.
It would be appreciated if you would return the kindness and let me know if you find Viveca.
