Okay, so -- I'm in Yvonne's room, and this is a hell of a mural to have.

[ He holds up the photo he found of a younger yvonne, laughing together with two others, a younger dude and a young girl who sure looks awfully familiar. ]

[ About ten to fifteen minutes later, he's back. ]

Um, so I found some more stuff. Check this paper out. [ He's still talking softly as he holds it up to the light, showing the symbol that shows up. ]

If that means anything to any of you, have at it. She's also got hot girl motorcycle gear in the closet, and some pretty intense weaponry stashed.

[Maybe he's projecting a little. Maybe he looks at that wolf painting and sees something other than a wolf looming over the little girl; Yvonne's not a goddamn precursor, but — it sparks some kind of weird discomfort, like prey feeling the presence of a predator.

Which isn't a new feeling for him, the last few months.]

So... I'm pretty sure she's the Wolf. Right? Her and Callan and Viv being together in that picture... and in some old footage I think might be the three of them I found on some old hard drive from the University. And there's that mural in her place. I mean, in theory it could be her. One of the founding members of the Fables.

But she hasn't been around as the Wolf if it's really her, except maybe around the third circle recently?? So she's just been sitting around in her bar disconnected from everything the last few years.

[He rubs the back of his head, feeling a little stupid.]

Just worried she might be compromised on her beliefs from before, maybe. Or-- I don't know... I gotta admit, it's just a feeling. And I'm not exactly -- I don't know. Maybe I'm just seeing something in nothing.

I think that's a reasonable conclusion. And you're right, the Wolf hasn't been around for years, but I'm...thinking it's probably her.

that's the first time i've heard of the wolf.

out in the forest, a wolf's fur makes it easy for it to hide from its prey. sometimes they'll stalk a herd for days, patiently waiting for a time to strike and the herd will feel no danger at all as the wolves know to stay down wind and blend into the brush.

there's a story we used to be told as children, to stop us from lying. it has a wolf who hid in sheep's skin.

someone mentioned that a former member of the fables in the labour camps told them about a raid by the fables gone wrong. wonder if our wolf was wearing a sheep's skin too and someone tipped them off.

I've heard of that story. Boy Who Cried Wolf, something like that. Kept calling wolf as a lie and then when a real wolf came, no one helped.

Could be that, too. Starting to think I've made a poor life decision.
