Hello, um, I should probably introduce myself. My family name is Kokonose, my given name is Chuuta, and I just arrived here. [He's a little bit rambling right now but this whole communicator thing is kind of weird and he's still getting used to it.]

I'm a college student, but I work in the restaurant industry and have a lot of other cooking and baking experience. So I'll be cooking here, and if anyone would like me to cook for them please let me know. I don't want anyone else to feel like they have to eat raw potatoes because they don't have any options.

If there's anything important I need to know about kitchen routines and rules please let me know, I don't want to inconvenience anyone. [the last thing he wants to do is cause any problems but it's probably inevitable.]

The only other things I'm any good at are sewing and housekeeping, so please let me know if you need any help with that.

I wouldn't have put it that way, but from your perspective I suppose it's true. Before I came to the station it was the year 1900.

[Oh, that's interesting. Kazuma's only met the two people he already knows, but if there are others... at least they'd have something to commiserate about.]

Are there? Who else have you met? Two of my compatriots are here as well, but I would like to meet others who have a similar... well, level of understanding.

Oh, I was probably thinking of them. [Three people from 1900 what are the odds they know each other? Pretty darn high apparently.]

But I also met someone from a thousand years ago.

[And here he was feeling out of place being a couple of hundred years out of date. Trying to imagine what technology might look like in 2900 is making him feel a little dizzy.]

And how have they been... adjusting?

I think he's done well. He's better than me at using these communicators.
