I'll make this quick. [ on account of the big fucking dragon. text time because ellia is still literally nearby, and despite the oncoming chaos, andy thinks ellia's story deserves to be out there for real too. ]
Ellia Roundtree found me just now and warned us to stop searching for the heirloom. I got her to talk about what happened that day in the caverns, but she doesn't fully know. She felt a dangerous power from the heirloom and knew it wrecked her homeland. Among the four of them in the cavern, Jun was closest to the orb, and as she warned them to stay away, something mimicked her spell. She went to apologize to Jun after and he sent her away, and we know the rest of the rumors now.
I told her about the orbs' sentience and it seemed to give her clarity. We've seen the orbs do worse than cast a unique warlock spell. She was about to tell me who might make a shit deal and turn on her, but then the fucking dragon made an appearance, so I think it's as good as answered.
As a note, the top of her staff looked like it had another orb, but maybe that's just coincidence, maybe it's influence. It's from her mentor, hailing from the same homelands wrecked by the heirloom orb. [ she attaches a picture, but sorry, she's too old to have thought of recording the whole encounter when she can barely keep a regular cellphone for more than a day. ]
We could probably use her help, and not just from the Ultimate Cancel spell Joe got from her already - she's still here. I think she'd be happy to see this shitty ass orb gone.

[He sounds a bit preoccupied by all the fighting though he was by no means completely winded yet. Still, it might be smart to switch to text so he takes a moment to get his thoughts in order enough for that to happen.]
That magic spell in particular. Has anyone actually looked at it and tried to cast it? She gave it to you, right? Remember your boy saying something along those lines. We should give it a try. I'd like to.
Oh and yeah you should definitely convince her to help.

She might not have much of a choice at this point, but I'll put on my best convincing voice.

Sounds good. I'm rooting for ya.

Her priority is heirloom removal, so at least we're on the same page.

It's a smart page to be on.
Here's to her helping us out.

[a pause as he dodges out of the way of an attack. yeesh.]
To all of us. Goddamn these things are fast for their size.
