Remi d'Arbes has answered our call. With his help, we'll create a path between worlds in search of a suitable planet for the Hivawei to settle. Our course will be set for Gyeonje - unless anyone has a suggestion for a place better suited - with the hope that in making our way to that world we'll find one closer, freeing up those of us based here to open more doorways for the Hivawei to travel through.

[ There's a truth between the lines there, but he doesn't drag it out. It doesn't change what they have to do. ]

We need to be as certain as we can be that the world we lead them to is somewhere they're going to have a real chance to thrive. If anyone thinks they'd be suited to making that kind of assessment and would be willing to abandon the search for the orb to assist with this, let us know as soon as possible.

If there's anyone not already involved who wields magic, or similarly esoteric [ shout out to Itachi for the verbiage ] power, and could spare some time - we'd be glad of you.

This will not be a small feat. If and when Chief Yerek decides it's time to tell the people, they'll be managing the logistics of a mass evacuation while preparing to leave behind everything they've ever known.

We've all experienced their kindness and the strength of their community. Let's honor that and ease the way for them as much as we possibly can.

Sabriel said I should probably talk to you about helping out with this 'finding a new planet' deal. I've got tech and scouting experience that might help. Now that we're on a planet I could actually take my rig along to...

I'll upload the data to my suit if ya'll decide I'd be useful. If the magic users are capable of it, it might be best if we split into a few groups for scouting planets more quickly. Otherwise, I'd suggest choosing a select few for one group and keeping it small. But you probably already know that so... uh, yeah. [Awkward hang up here. Just gonna...wait for that reply now.]

Are you able to offer specifics on your skillset? I recall your saying you were a US Marshal, but while I can surmise that is likely a law enforcement position, I can't say I'm familiar with the requirements of the position in the context of America.

I am a US Marshal and it is the Marshal Service that handle the US Witness Protection Program. However. That particular program and relocation service is vastly different from what we're trying to do here and involves nuances that I do not expect would be applicable in this particular scenario.

[ Sure, the asteroid was coming to kill them, but it wasn't personal and it wasn't as if the asteroid was going to keep trying to chase them down. ]

For this particular situation I am offering up the skillsets I cultivated as a US Army Ranger. Specifically my work as a scout to help with the logistics of locating and securing the best location for Chief Yerek and his people.

Alright, guys! I got the data, and it's looking promising. Granted, I can't speak for other planets, so there might be something more suitable in the in-between to study, but time is of the blah blah blah. After comparing my notes, I've determined that the climate and environments are similar enough to Hivawei that they shouldn't have to worry about weather shifts, or temperature differences, all the usual beats.

Lots of forested area. The single thing to keep in mind is that everything there is larger; they'll need to account for any potential threat in terms of predators. But there's evidence to support adaptation to any of the natural illness that might be present on Gyeongje; basically, they're not gonna keel over from a common cold or other more extreme disease or virus.

If anyone wants copies of my stuff, I can transmit it through the earpiece, and by all means make sure it's verified by other sources within the team, too, if we've got it. But I'm pleased to say I'm hella confident in these findings. Our biggest hurdle would be getting some counsel with Gyeongje's head honchos and informing our buddies on this planet of the potential threats that they'd have to adapt to. If they're game to try, I'm game to do whatever else people need from me.

Not sure. The nature and this planet doesn't speak and has no conscious mind. It's everything alive on this world acting as a connection to everything else, like it feels the pull of all of this, which is how it knew about the asteroid. It's different. Something foreign in the whole.

We can try to push instinct on the fauna, like a fight or flight response, but I don't think it'd go over well.

It's a fully environmentally sealed rig with a super computer riding around shotgun in it. It can be whatever you want it to be. [beat] Basic set-up will give me read-outs on the air quality, biometrics, environmental hazards, gravity fields, radio signals, motion sensing trackers, and... I dunno, other junk I don't usually look at.
