Noticed an influx of new and kinda-new faces over the last few days or weeks or whatever.

So here's my handy dandy welcome board! Recently updated, to keep with the times.

Read it over and get a feel for how this place goes; I'm gonna finish off this coffee before I take any questions.

I mean he harmed one of the youngest members of the crew. Ostensibly they were training, but as a combat and sparing instructor myself, I'll admit none of my trainings ever landed my students unconscious in the infirmary.

But it's been dealt with. He knows what'll happen to him if he even looks at one of the younger members of our crew again. Although now I'm thinking I might just hand him over to you.

If someone is getting their trainee landed in an infirmary, their trainer is doing a shit job and should be fired. But then again, the impression I got from our conversation was that he wasn't particularly intelligent.

Don't worry. I know how to beat someone within an inch of their life. I'd be more than happy to help.

Where I'm from we don't have anything at all of the sort, so I'll trust your expertise.

If you're willing to share it, I'd like to hear a simple definition. I don't really know what makes an android an android at all.

As much as I hate to say it, androids like myself are similar to robots in that we're made by humans for a task. Mine being machine murder and protecting humans.

The big difference between robots and androids is that robots don't think, and can't experience emotions like we can. Which is probably the biggest difference. No two androids are the same, even if we share the same type and model number. We might share the same base personality program, but different experiences make us unique.

You're sentient then, and robots aren't. Is that right?

Thats the basics of it, at least the androids where I'm from.

I appreciate the helpful information, A2. The people on board are mostly from worlds that are so vastly different from mine, and I enjoy getting to learn more about them.
