that's a terrible idea if you ask me
how am I supposed to ask for directions or something if the rules aren't consistent?
or what if I use the wrong particle and completely embarrass myself?

Time is a nebulous concept at best. The lack of a sun just makes that more obvious.

Be sure to pack some snacks.
