Noticed an influx of new and kinda-new faces over the last few days or weeks or whatever.

So here's my handy dandy welcome board! Recently updated, to keep with the times.

emotion is a blade between her ribs, and it twists.

for all that she wanted him dead. for all that she has dreamed of him dead — she had always imagined it would be her or nebula that delivered the killing blow. his ill-used children, and not the ones that drenched themselves in loyalty and glory the way cull obsidian and proxima midnight did, but the ones who truly knew suffering's cost to them —

it feels a little like she's taking the first breath on a new world, and there is a sort of wailing grief that wells like blood from a cut right alongside a vicious satisfaction that bears no earthly name.
