( video | un: alucard )

[ the feed starts with a very tall man with long blond hair, dressed in archaic clothing and a long black cloak. a large scar is visible on his chest. ]

Greetings.

My name is Alucard. I am a new arrival. No, I did not fill up the "form" as I found the criteria to be quite baffling and useless.

I do need to state that I am a half-vampire. Yes, I have fangs. No, I will not bite you. I do not require blood and you can go about your day in peace.

And no, I will not bite you if you have a kink for vampires. Find a sharp fork instead.

[ Jake had been midway through adding an addendum when the reply came through. Talk about slow on the draw. ]

yeaaaahh, i caught onto how many times you'd been asked that question and figured i oughta slow my roll. my kids are half-n-half too, y'know? honestly, a lot of people i know are half-n-half. [ Himself included, for all this was relatively new knowledge to him. ] i wouldn't want everybody's first question to my pups to be about what their parents were.

so let's backtrack. new first question: you get bullied a lot with a name like alucard? 'cuz no lie, if we was in school together, i'd have probably bullied you man.

so you go by that by choice, huh? Well nobody’s gonna call you a coward, that’s for sure.

[ This from the dog who named one of his sons TV. ]

anyway, since when does homeschooling preclude bullying?

[ It's actually a reassuring answer, in as much as Jake could find it in himself to be reassured about the childhood of a total stranger. There was certainly someone present when homeschooled: the teachers themselves. If the thought of their treatment towards him didn't ping Alucard's mind (or if he was simply deflecting -- that stranger thing went both ways), Jake wasn't about to pry any further. ]

More fitting how, bud?
