Hello everyone!

I'm not sure if this is how you usually do this, this is my first mission, but I've got some information that could prove important.

I'm Phoenix Wright, by the way.

I've been helping Professor Cress and asking her about the Legendary Cubit, that she calls Ankhaos. If it's not the orb, I'd be really surprised if it didn't turn out to be related to it somehow. These are the things that are interesting and/or important about it:

1. She thinks it might not be native to Ankata, unlike the other Cubits.

2. People have described it as larger than other Cubit, majestic and terrifying

3. It has spectral star-like energy around it, whatever that means.

4. There might be something going on around Tarrytown. People hear screeching in the night that sounds like the word chaos. Since she told me this while talking about the Ankhaos (also notice the 'haos' ending) I assume she thinks it's related or maybe even Ankhaos itself. Is anyone in the area?

If anyone has heard or seen anything you think might be Ankhaos let me know.

Well, the orbs do seek chaos, and they have been known to mutate wildlife, to make it more aggressive. That star-like energy sounds a bit like parts of Artimog and Kostei.

Isn't Team Torpedo's headquarters hidden somewhere in Tarrytown?

That's what I have heard around Tarrytown, anyway, but I've never seen this Team Torpedo personally...

Thank you for sharing, Mr. Wright. I'm occasionally here on a research assignment, so I'll keep an ear to the ground.

They dress nicely in cardigans in slacks. Everything about their dress is neat. I assume it's meant to put people off their guard.

Ah! I see. That's clever of them, and would explain why I hadn't seen any of them: I was expecting some sort of Team Torpedo insignia...

It seems they're more secretive than that. And what's more, the authorities refuse to risk their Cubits in battling them so they let Team Torpedo continue robbing others.

Seriously? No wonder they seem to be going around doing whatever they want.

I would have thought they at least tried to do something or find some alternative if they didn't want to risk their Cubits in battle with them.

That's what I thought too. It must have something to do with the culture, like all disputes are settled through Cubits instead of anything else. If it were me and I saw these people robbing others, I'd probably just tackle them to the ground.

Yeah, I think it might too but still it doesn't make sense why they wouldn't just team up with other people to do something about them.

I don't know. It sounds like they're just stupid.

Yeah either that or just something else about Team Torpedo that has everyone so afraid.

I suppose it'll come to light sooner or later.

Yeah, I'm sure we'll figure it out whatever the reason may be for that.

Maybe someone could talk to the authorities directly to learn more.

[ He's also not volunteering himself. They sound like wimps and he'd rather follow other leads. ]

Beyond what Flint told me I haven't learned much. I'd better get back to questioning people.

You're welcome. I don't think I want to go anywhere until I know more so I'd be glad for whatever you can find.

What's Artimog and Kostei?

Cubits. Both are psychic and fairy type... and Tarrytown is known for psychic type cubits.

Aren't those both native to Ankata, though? That sort of contradicts what the professor said about it not being from around here.

Depending on how long the orb has been here maybe it's spread some of its influence to native cubits too. Although she didn't say anything about native cubits changing.

I haven't heard or seen anything about it but from past experience it does seem likely it's connected in some way to the orb.

I was planning on making a stop in Tarrytown anyway to look into things with Team Torpedo having their headquarters there so I can let you know what I find.

It's kind of weird. I wonder how many they are? I can't help but think if the gyms from each town banded together to take care of them it would be easy.

I'm not sure honestly but regardless, it is surprising that banding together isn't something they've tried or even attempted from the sounds of it.

I guess maybe there's a reason for that. I haven't exactly asked. Seems kind of rude.

I don't think it would be rude, especially considering we're trying to learn more about how things work here.

Maybe but it's a bit like hey why don't you just try harder against this dangerous group of people terrorising you. Do we even know how big they are?

I'm not sure I've heard that exact phrase. I dunno, it might not be subtle, but I think it's sort of clever.

...It just seems like a bit much. If this 'legendary' cubit IS the orb... You don't get much more 'orb' than literally putting 'chaos' right there in the name.
