Does anyone know how to knit?

Or, alternatively, does anyone volunteer to be the recipient of some awful beginner scarves and mittens or whatever under the assumption that I fill that first position.

I'm thinking it's about time for me to pick up a new hobby. Something that doesn't involve beating people up.

If it helps, I can pretty much assure you that you wouldn't be the worst teacher I've ever had.

Also teaching isn't really my strong suit. I don't think I've ever taught anyone anything.
