[It's that time again! ...good luck, Ximilia]
So, it seems to be just over sixty of us now. More than double the amount that was here when I first turned up. Looks like some of them left though, so I guess they changed their minds.
[Not that he knew most of them. But he has eyes. And a need to keep track of things like that.]
Far as we all know, this is the third time people have been brought here. Ninety-one days since we first started turning up.
Now, I ain't saying I'm an expert. But I'm just going to field a few questions before they come up.
[And undoubtedly leave it to the actual professional once the follow up questions come]
Yes, there's another area called the Northern Wing. No, we can't go in. Yes, we've met someone who seems to live on the other side. No, we can't talk to him.
[Except...that last part might not be true. He hasn't actually asked Viveca if they could talk to him]
We're meant to get a supply drop once every thirty days or so. Spare clothes and supplies are all stored at the end of the common room. You need something specific, speak to Viveca. Ain't promising she'll be able to get it, but can't hurt to ask, right?
If this is your first time in space, talk to Jim Kirk. He's been running sessions for anyone who hasn't been off planet before.
You need to eat more than the average person here, let Dusty Fields know. High calorie rations are marked, but he's keeping track of supplies with a couple of others.
[Oh, right-]
Guess I should also add, you want to get laid, talk to Newton Geiszler. I'm sure the Doc would love to give you a little TLC.
[:D]
If you've got any questions, you're looking for Sam Wilson.
[:D :D]

I agree that there's efficiency in the classics.
[ Even if it's not always enough. ]
Sooo...you and Sam, uh. He mentioned that you're his partner.
no subject
[Look, its been a while since they had that conversation. But at least it's a step up from just being "two guys".]
We work together, sure. Ain't like there's anyone else left to keep Captain America's ass in one piece.
no subject
[ Peter is convinced that Sam and Bucky are dating. This conversation isn't helping. That last bit, though. ].
Sam is Captain America now? Wow, talk about an upgrade. Niiice. Do you have a fancy title to match, too? Like, I don't know, The incredible metal fisting man? Hm...No that sounds like a kink...
no subject
Well, nothing beyond those damn tiger pictures.]
Only title I've got is the Winter Soldier. And that came a long time before Sam took up the shield.
[Not to dismiss the White Wolf moniker. But there's only one name that's known to the world at large.]
no subject
Ah. Never heard of it before, but that's not a surprise. The battle against Thanos was the first time I set foot on Earth after 30 years.
[ And he couldn't wait to leave, either. ]
Do you like it? The name.
no subject
[Which is said in a largely dismissive tone. The people of Delacroix can see past the name, and that's enough for him.]
So you're originally from Earth?

[ Gamora waa the most feared assasin of the galaxy at some point. But thinking of her is enough to break Peter's heart so...let's not go there. ]
You know Nebula, right? She's a cyborg as well, also does that thing with her face were it looks like smiling might kill her, and she knows about a hundred ways to kill you with a chopstick.... [ You have so many things in common already, Bucky. ] ...god, I almost miss her.
Yeah, from Missouri. I've got kidnapped by aliens when I was 8 years old.
no subject
[It's said in a nicely defensive tone. It's one thing for Sam to call him that in jest. But from anybody else, it's an insult, whether it's meant that way or not.]
So you were kidnapped by aliens, got your own ship, but decided not to go back?
no subject
[ He didn't mean it an insult, he knows plenty of people with prosthesis and enhanced parts. Case in point, his girlfriend and his best friend. And technically, going by the definition of what a cyborg is, Buck fits that category, but Peter is not about to argue with a dude who can rip out his spine. He understands when he's struck a chord, even if it was done by accident. ]
That's the abridged version, yes. The long story is a bit more complicated. I don't have any reasons to want to go back to Earth. [ It's said in a somewhat somber tone before Peter catches himself and amends it. ] Besides! The Galaxy is just much more fun. There's a lot to see, people to meet, baddies to fight..I've never know how to stay grounded, you know?
