[ there were a number of conflicting thoughts keeping clarke up at night lately: the recent news of their time in ximilia coming to an end with the missions and their search for the orb, the friendships she has made with people and the fact she has been here since the very beginning of the journey just over two years.

today just so happens to be her birthday which would really be public knowledge at this point from the crew birthday calendar that newt put together. is it a coincidence? did she actually remember what today is and that she is turning another year older? it is anyone's guess really.

there is a lot going on with their current mission so her birthday is low priority here but there is just one little thing involving her personal goal— perform an act of physical affection with three separate teammates — that even prompts her to her inquire on the network]

Okay, so. I need some help with my personal goal. How does everyone feel about hugs? [ love them? hate them? or are you the type of person who neutral to it? she totally asking the important questions here!! maybe you are wondering what this has to with her goal but look she will get to her point once she's able to vibe check how people feel about them. she knows that there are obviously other forms of physical affection but hugging seems like the easiest option and well after the latest news maybe more people could use a hug whether they want to admit to it or not]

I cannot see how that possibly helps the mission. However, I'm willing to entertain the notion enough to gather data on what happens.

You're right, it's not useful at all to the mission but that's usually how it goes for these personal goals.

I'm only familiar the instrument through my readings, never heard anyone play it before.

Have you played for a while back home?

For about two years. If you wish to hear the violin, you are welcome to stay. I perform multiple times each event.

[fast forwarding a bit later to around the time he mentioned to meet with him, clarke is amongst the crowd watching the musical performances go on as she keeps an eye out for him. she doesn't know what he looks like given they were corresponding over text and all she knows is that he was playing the third piece in with a violin.

it was easy enough to spot him with that knowledge when the time came around as she just listens, watching him play and when the event itself is over she makes her way over to him]

That was a first for me but was a really beautiful performance. [her words are initially phrased in a way mostly so that he'll be able to figure out who she is from their most recent conversation]

[ He chuckles and opens his arms for her hug. Since her goal seemed to require to be the instigator, he will wait to receive it for the best chance of satisfying the conditions. ]

I would caution against hugging for too long. A number of people here keep attempting to match me with someone, and I would hate for you to get mixed up in that mess.
