Right, that was enough excitement for one mission. Does anyone know why Viveca didn't teleport us out as soon as someone took the orb, like what happened last time? Or was it that Cheri- or Ruvia or whoever she really was- needed to give up ownership, and stealing it wasn't enough?
[If that's the case, they'll need to be ready to bargain and persuade on future missions, rather than hope that whoever they steal it from simply gives up hope of regaining the Orb.]
If anyone's injured- I know how to heal. You might need a few days of rest to make sure you don't disrupt the spells, but you'll mend more quickly than you would have otherwise. And if you're one of my students, feel free to come to the infirmary to help.
And- Apparently the Commander is real, and on the station. But what he said about the Orb growing vicious... are they shaped by the bargains they make, and the people that use them?
[It looked different from the Gyeonje Orb too, red instead of golden.]

Perhaps, but- So-Yeon stole the orb, and was able to make a bargain with it anyway. But that might depend on what the orb sees as meeting a bargain.
[And some morbid part of Sabriel wonders- would the death of the current owner terminate said ownership?]
audio;
Though that makes me wonder just what they gain. More power to grant more bargains or if there's some end game these orbs are trying to meet.
( Eddie also has this morbid wonder and, in fact, can't help the breath he takes again before speaking: ) Do you think the orbs would so far as to try protecting them if they thought it in their best interest?
Re: audio;
As for what it wants... Viveca said it wants chaos. And apparently this orb admitted as much.
Re: audio;
Chaos is so fucking broad though like I've dealt with chaos brought on a fucking clown that ate kids and lived in a sewer. Black Friday sales in New York are chaos too and so is the heat death of the universe.
audio;
And the Orb likes to bargain with people too greedy or desperate to consider how they phrase things.
audio;
You think maybe the orbs are the cause? Like maybe they're the match or the first domino that falls, sparking the possible beginnings of something that get them someone they can bargain with when things spiral out of control.

I don't know. Maybe I'm putting too much thought about the sort of shit I saw back home into things here.
