Right, that was enough excitement for one mission. Does anyone know why Viveca didn't teleport us out as soon as someone took the orb, like what happened last time? Or was it that Cheri- or Ruvia or whoever she really was- needed to give up ownership, and stealing it wasn't enough?
[If that's the case, they'll need to be ready to bargain and persuade on future missions, rather than hope that whoever they steal it from simply gives up hope of regaining the Orb.]
If anyone's injured- I know how to heal. You might need a few days of rest to make sure you don't disrupt the spells, but you'll mend more quickly than you would have otherwise. And if you're one of my students, feel free to come to the infirmary to help.
And- Apparently the Commander is real, and on the station. But what he said about the Orb growing vicious... are they shaped by the bargains they make, and the people that use them?
[It looked different from the Gyeonje Orb too, red instead of golden.]

[It takes him a little longer than it should, in his mind, but the pain in his back has him moving slowly and carefully. Like he told Daisy, he's had worse, but it's still real damn unpleasant.
Thankfully he succeeds in ducking into the infirmary without knocking his forehead on the few inches of doorframe that jut down from the ceiling. He's covered in a multitude of other cuts and scrapes, all minor and already cleaned as best he could but blood still stains his Lionetta trenchcoat that he hasn't had a chance to remove just yet.
He nods at Sabriel in greeting, then winces a little at the movement. Weird how little muscles connect all over the place, isn't it?]
Hey. Happy to wait a while if you have people worse off you need to see first.

It's fine, you're the only one in at the moment. Just sit down and- please, don't do anything strenuous for the next few days, or you'll disrupt the spells and I'll have to do this all over again.

[He chuckles softly, though it's brief, because that hurts too. Sitting won't be much better, and he does so gingerly as he finds a seat on one of the infirmary beds. The chairs here are too small, never comfortable.]
You're Sabriel, right? Thanks for doing this. We got lucky up there on the top floor, having enough reinforcements like we did, or we might've lost someone this time.

[Sabriel moves gently, but efficiently. He's clearly tended to most of his own wounds- and they're minor enough that she can't focus on them. Not when she doesn't know what else she'll be called on to heal.]

[Or, well, he could have, but why put himself through the pain when he wasn't sure if her magic cared whether he had a coat on or not? Much easier for her to do it, once he makes sure he's not sitting on the tail of his coat. Bummer that it's got blood and burns and slashes through it, he kind of liked that thing. Better than the collared button-down and tie he's left with underneath.]
Right side, center. Daisy and I got stuck in a room that was filling with water and by the time she broke through the wall, it, uh. Drained violently. I hit the inside wall pretty hard, but better than either of us drowning.

[Sabriel frowns, tracing out the marks for the spell, arranging them in order.]
Just hold still- and don't do anything too strenuous for a few days once I'm done, or you'll disrupt the spell.

[He's good at holding still, and possesses a lot of patience, but it's funny how being told to makes him conscious of every little movement. His fingers start to tap against the mattress. He wants a cigarette. Wants to ask, too, exactly what Sabriel is doing, but since it's magic he expects he wouldn't understand anyway. It's a harder thing to accept than Braccia and its robots.]

[The spell sinks into his side with a warmth like sunshine, and a sudden easing of pain. It feels if not entirely healed, most of the way there.]
The spell should finish its work over the next few days. Until then- you don't need to stay in bed, but please don't push yourself.

[He grins as the warning comes yet again, and it's so much easier to laugh now that the pain has subsided. Pretty incredible how quickly that happened, actually, and he takes a deep, satisfied breath. Only a bit of an ache, rather than that stabbing pain.]
You must have a lot of patients think you've instantly fixed them and then just charge right back into what got them hurt in the first place, huh?

[Since, look, he's genuinely appreciative and doesn't really know how else to show it, but he can at least do her some small favor.]

[Rosinante smiles brightly, he can't help it. The relief from the pain in his back has made such a difference already. And then stands, and finds that even then there's only a dull ache, like all he did was a few too many pull-ups the day before, and again it's so easy to see how someone could overdo it by thinking they're already fine.
Anyway, he won't stick around, he's got coffee and snacks to get.]
