Right, that was enough excitement for one mission. Does anyone know why Viveca didn't teleport us out as soon as someone took the orb, like what happened last time? Or was it that Cheri- or Ruvia or whoever she really was- needed to give up ownership, and stealing it wasn't enough?

[If that's the case, they'll need to be ready to bargain and persuade on future missions, rather than hope that whoever they steal it from simply gives up hope of regaining the Orb.]

If anyone's injured- I know how to heal. You might need a few days of rest to make sure you don't disrupt the spells, but you'll mend more quickly than you would have otherwise. And if you're one of my students, feel free to come to the infirmary to help.

And- Apparently the Commander is real, and on the station. But what he said about the Orb growing vicious... are they shaped by the bargains they make, and the people that use them?

[It looked different from the Gyeonje Orb too, red instead of golden.]

Can you heal without the spells?

[ renfri's voice filters through, and she's speaking through gritted teeth — not badly wounded, but enough from her fighting that she probably needs some help getting to them all, especially the ones on her back. ]

I'm familiar with first aid, yes. Do you need me to help you bandage something?

[retributioning]

It's nothing big, I'm used to taking care of wounds on my own. But...

[ well. it stings her pride a little, but if she doesn't have to... there's some nasty cuts and a bullet that needs to get dug out of her. ]

But it's easier with assistance, depending on the location of the wound.

[Sabriel's tone is matter of fact. She hadn't had to worry too much about injuries at school, beyond what you might expect from training, but 'asking for help' had never something students were shamed for.]

Right. There's a bullet somewhere in my shoulder, and I can't really get to it myself.

[ not with both hands, and one hand does messy work. ]

Right, I'll meet you in the infirmary.

[Gunshot wounds weren't something Sabriel had much experience with, beyond a general awareness that they were often serious. But Renfri doesn't seem to be incapacitated, so perhaps this one isn't too serious.]

[ once sabriel gets there, she'll realise renfri has absolutely been toughing it out so far — she sits there on one of the beds, gingerly addressing the wounds she can get to, but winces every time she so much as moves her shoulder, and her once-white shirt is entirely red around the bullet hole. ]
