Its been about four weeks. Though I guess I should say Earth weeks. Twenty-seven days since we started turning up. Two since it started happening again.

[Which begs the question, when does it stop? Seventy-two beds on this area of the station. Are they planning to keep going after that?]

Viveca is the name of the AI that spoke to us all then. Some of you may have spoken to her already. She went missing though, a couple of days after we arrived. There was a power cut, she said something about an emergency mode, and then she was gone.

We got a delivery right before that though. Clothes, toiletries, books, food. A bunch of stuff showed up and got split out.

That was when there were twenty-seven of us. Looks like we've about doubled since then. So if you new folks needs something, ask. There's probably someone here who can help.

Speaking of, we're stuck relying on those drops to get fresh food. So don't hog it. There's kids here who need it too.

A guy I know. He cooks up huge batches of food at a time. If you're hungry, check the fridge. Nine times out of ten, he's left something in there you can have.

[And if not, giving Sam a look will probably be more than enough to get him to make something new.]

You've also all probably noticed that you can't get in to the Northern Wing. Its been like that since we first got here, and we've got no idea what's on the other side. It's classified, apparently. Messing with whatever's on the other side would affect us all, so I wouldn't suggest trying to break through.

Don't know about you guys, but I don't plan on getting tossed out an airlock if I can help it.

Projected into your brain? I mean. I guess I could in person. Might be easier that way. For whoever might be interested, at some point at least.

Whatever you're comfortable with. I'm not about to try and force you in to doing something you don't want to.

I don't mind. I've done alchemy in public plenty of times back home. I can do something in person. Just a matter of figuring where and when. If people were interested to see. I guess I kinda just. Take it for granted. Ever since I can remember, I've known about alchemy.

I think you might be the only one here who does. I mean, there's sorcerers in my world. People who can do magic. But even they aren't all that well known.

[chrysology]

Magic? Really? Some people mistake alchemy for magic or miracles but it is a science. I've never believed in magic or anything like that myself.

[starer]

I didn't know magic was real till I was older. Though some of the things science can do these days would've looked like magic back when I was a kid anyway.

Guess it's the same for alchemy. It looks like magic to people who don't know the science behind it.

[chrysology]

I've been using alchemy since I can remember, pretty much. Ever since Hohenheim (our father) left and we poked at all his books.

But I guess that's a point. If people aren't familiar. And probably most everyone here has no clue on alchemy depending on where and when they might be from.

You taught yourself?

[chrysology]

The basics. Yeah. Not like he was around to teach us. We did get Teacher to take us on later on though.

[Izumi's training was probably kind of. Unique, but still.]

So you and your brother? Sister? You managed to teach yourselves how to do alchemy, which is a science, all on your own.

That's pretty impressive, kid.

Younger brother. I'm a year older.

Not like we had much else to do. We lived rural and all so there wasn't a whole lot to do back at Resembool for the most part. We just liked how it made our mother happy, reminding her of our dad.
