It looks like he’s sitting in one of the residential rooms that appear to be somewhat polished, save for the packaged meat sitting behind one bed. ]

Well? Come on, then! And maybe don’t look so cross, you know, show them a little holiday spirit! Should we get you the hat? We should get you the hat —

Shut it! I know what I’m doing.

[ An exasperated sigh can be heard to the side that sounds eerily Clara-esque. ]

And what’s all that about?! Why am I the one delivering this? Just get flappy bird to do it! Why can’t we send them an e-mail? Or one of those carrier pigeons?

[ In a few moments, the Doctor (the cute one) is looking off to the side with his eyes slightly squinted. ]

[ The Doctor (the incredibly smooth and sexy one) starts sifting through a short stack of index cards in his hands. ]

Hello. This is the Doctor. You know? The incredibly tall and sauve one. Not the old, crinkly man who is currently reading this messa--

[ His eyes immediately shoot up to show his predecessor the meanest of mugs.

There’s an audible “Ow!” heard offscreen, followed by Clara reaching over to grab that first card. You can clearly see the internal struggle the Doctor (the one who is serving Einstein meets Beethoven realness) is going through. Like a child being tasked to wash the dishes or having to kiss their granny. ]

These past few months have been incredibly difficult and tiresome, but I assure you all are doing a brilliant job. This is the part where you give them a thumbs up and a smile.

[ ...Skipping that part. ]

Given that we’ve spent over 500-some odd hours together on this station, me, Clara and the old bat who looks like a grey dusty tumbleweed reading this messa—

[ Tossing that away! ]

—Would like to invite you all to celebrate Christmas with us. For all of my non-Earth friends, it is a special holiday most humans like to spend together. There will be plenty of food and fizzy drinks to go around. There will also be tree-mendous decorations. Stop for laughter. [ … ] I snow hope you will all able to join us.

[ After all that is read, the Doctor promptly reaches for a brick and clutches it against his chest and lets out a sigh of relief. From somewhere off-camera, there’s a series of claps, maybe applause? Maybe a fly somehow made it onto the station? (No it’s definitely applause, joined with a ‘See that wasn’t so hard now, was it?’) ]

Doctor!

Can I have my crisps now?

[Clara's probably still in the room with the Doctors, so she has to just slip into a corner of the room and make sure she keeps things nice and quiet. And ensures they stay private of course.]

I really do. But I don't want you to feel like I'm forcing you to go. Especially if you would hate things that much.

I don't ... hate things.

[ not true. there's a lot of things he hates. but while he can hate a lot of things, he definitely doesn't hate her.

he purses his lips a little, visibly a little defeated. ]

Her smile is so wide and bright that she has to turn to face the wall, head ducking to further conceal her happiness from the Doctors, if they're still around.]

[ it's a good thing this is private now because as much as it was able to detour daisy, there's not much he can do when she's smiling like that and his own face softens. he might even be smiling a little too, even if he does play it off more like a smirk than anything. ]

Considering they've both already kissed me, I really don't think they're in any place to judge.

It doesn't matter how many other people here they kiss. They're always going to be jealous if they have to share my attention.

[ he hears the bite in her tone, the weight in her voice of how it bothers her, and for a moment, he says nothing at all. he just looks at her as he exhales deeply, shoulders sinking as his brief little game is short-lived, as the instincts that keep him perceiving details at any given moment just backfires on him.

his eyes turn away, lip curling in as he sighs again. ]

Yeah. [ his voice is quiet, almost audibly guilty. ] Sorry.

[bossily]

[She sighs in return, anxiously twirling at the ring on her thumb before she nervously bites at the tip of her finger. He's not the only one that feels guilty.]

Don't be. You were only trying to make me laugh. And I -

[She pauses. This next part is hard for her to get out. Admitting she was wrong isn't something she does often.]

I overreacted.

[ because it's what he's used to, manipulating a conversation for information, observing every word, very tone, until all the details lay out before him. he trained for it with ctac before the envoys helped him perfect it.

it makes it a little harder to notice when he uses it on someone he cares about.

[That makes the corner of her mouth twitch upward. This whole not having to be in control and not always having to be right thing is new. But she's trying.]

Oh, it'll take more than that to get you out of being kissed beneath the mistletoe. Nice try, though.
