I had an interesting discussion with the innkeeper last night.

He told me three stories, stopped, then started all over again. I feel like I just ran into an NPC or something, you know? Maybe we're in a video game.

Has anyone else experienced that?

The bandits I caught were the same, just blank stares til they freakin' disappeared in front of my face.

The question is, are they mind-washed, or are they just 'coding' or 'duplicates' of real currently dead citizens of the town that don't exist anymore? Something about their programming completely stops them from speaking up either way.

I'm bamboozled, my man.

But they DID mention the Madame being a big deal like the mayor. It was one of the few things I actually got out of them.

I feel like that's a staple of running a brothel, being intimidating and scary.

But I think it definitely might be more than that. I just don't know what yet.

If someone can find a way to watch the Madame, we might get even more to work with.

We've had two curses so far on missions, maybe the orbs love curses. Like. A lot.
