[The date, 3rd of October, has him feeling rather pensive again. Just as he thought he would figure dealing with Father, getting Al his body back, he is yanked back here again. It's.....frustrating, to put it lightly. As much as he wants to scream at Viv to send him back. He knows he must have been pulled back here to help. That they need him. That Ed maybe hasn't done enough. Gathered enough orbs to earn that reward yet of getting Al back. Yet.

He sits in the sunlight room, pocket watch open at his lap if anyone approaches but he does turn on the feed.]

You think this will work? Gathering the orbs? To fix things? Is it worth it? I just feel like I've been trying to fix things for so long, not just here, but back home too. I feel like I was so close, and I got pulled back here again. And I can't help wondering. With some of the missions. The goals they give us. If at some point I might get something, some line I won't want to cross. For as much as I do want to fix things.

[He sighs, shaking his head as he isn't sure what more to say in his musings. In his worries. He figures even that much might be too much. That he might end up regretting even that. So he ends it there.]

It'll be worth it if I get Al back. I'm just still sure there's some sort of catch with the orbs somehow.

[Not like he can be sure but it is just how he has been feeling. Right from the start. That to pay for their regrets being fixed, something had to give. There has to be some sort of payment in return. But perhaps that might just be his alchemically focused mind at work in thinking of it in terms of Equivalant Exchange.]

Sounds like you've got your answer then, right? But I get it though, from all these missions and what we've had to deal with, it's left me a bit uncertain too.

There's still lines I won't cross. Why Al and I are figuring another way, back home, but. Yeah. It's. Complicated and simple both at the same time. If there's a chance this works. Of course I have to go for it. At least. Back home. Nothing was without some sort of price.

Yeah, I know what you mean. We know this is with a price though given we're still here going on these missions.

I know. This is taking time. We're not always figuring an easy way to deal with getting the orbs. But I still wonder if there isn't more of a catch. But maybe that's just me. Being the type to always wonder on what the price is. Thinking of everything like alchemy that way.

No, it's not just you. I've definitely wondered about that too. I think the personal goals we have do play some part in that.

I haven't always figured them. Mostly because I sometimes just get distracted with the bigger mission with the orb. But. I guess sometimes they aren't too bad.

[He is not so sure on some of them. Some of them he hasn't so much agreed with or liked. Ed is probably more rigid in his morals compared to some others though.]

Yeah, me too— I figure they tie into this though as far as some sort of catch goes.

Probably that it will take longer. If we don't do the personal missions. If it isn't like Al is missing me back home that there's a time limit when I've been here over a year already, I don't care if it will take longer without those. As long as they keep their end of the bargain and fix things for Alphonse.

I don't know— I think completing those goals are part of what means our bargain will be kept. [because really that is the only obvious catch from what she's able to tell versus skipping out on them entirely]

Maybe. I guess we'll see. Eventually we'll have to find out either way.

[Ed figures either they won't know until it happens. Until they go home and their regrets are fixed. Things are set right that they want to change by being here, by getting home. By getting the orbs. Enough of them anyway.]

I wonder how many more missions. Maybe it depends? On our regret? How high a cost to fix things?

The missions are probably never ending if what they've told us is anything by.

I don't know— I don't like the uncertainty of it all either and having to blindly wait and see how it goes. [maybe it's worth asking viveca or degar again about it though]

I don't like waiting either but. It isn't like there's much choice. If there is a chance this will work, of course we are gonna try stick it out and fix things.

[At least as far as Ed figures. If this has a chance of working. It has to be worth it. For Al.]
