I've got an idea- I'm not entirely sure if it will work, but it's worth a try, unless someone can suggest an alternative way of helping the Hivawei.

[Because stopping the asteroid doesn't seem possible without using the orb, and even Sabriel has to admit that doing so would be risky.]

I have Remi's notes, because I was there for that mission- they describe a means of opening paths between worlds. I've never been able to make it work, but Doctor Strange and I think that if enough magic users work together, and combine our abilities, we might be able to make it work, and send any of the Hivawei who don't wish to die with their planet to a place they can survive. A place like Gyeonje, not Badrock or E-23b.

[Sending the Hivawei to either of the latter would just be condemning them to a slow death, rather than a rapid one.]

So I'm asking anyone with any magical abilities if they're willing to help find a way to get the Hivawei off this planet, even if the attempt to reach Remi fails. But if he does answer our call- hopefully he'll be willing to help.

I wonder if Newt could calculate the force and angle needed to push the asteroid into the local sun? And if you magic types could provide the force to make that push at the right angle...?

The sun's not a bad call, but I don't think we're the people for the job. I'd need close proximity, which would mean getting into and surviving in space, and I'm not sure I could generate that level of force even at my usual size. More of us working together might have a better chance, but even that's a slim maybe, and at that point doing anything with precision would be a struggle.

If there's anyone around who might be better suited, it's worth raising all the same.

[ Much as his behaviour speaks to the contrary, he's not actually here to dismiss all the ideas coming out of the woodwork. He doesn't know half the crew yet, maybe there's somebody. But present context doesn't give them enough time for him to stretch himself thin on things he's not best suited to. ]

I know there's a few people that can go into space but I wouldn't know how to get them there, or if they'd be able to do anything if they did get out there. I didn't realize you'd have to get that close to work your magic. [Who thought he'd ever mean that phrase literally? Not him a year and a half ago.] This time constraint shit sucks. I know if we had longer we'd be able to handle this.
