Good morning evening? day to you all. It seems I'm one of several new residents upon this vessel. My name is Yujin Mikotoba. In my homeland, I was a professor of medicine, specifically forensic pathology. [Or should he say in his home...world? This is still so surreal; being polite right now is his way of trying not to think about how all of this works too hard.] Please do excuse my ignorance as I make up for what I am sure are great gaps in my knowledge; I do hope my experience will not prove entirely obsolete. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, and I truly look forward to working with you all.
[All right, now that the niceties are out of the way...]
I have a few questions for our more veteran members. I expect I'll have more as I continue to familiarize myself with the station and our goals here.
1. Are there notes, or better yet, full reports of our previous missions, as well as their results? I am aware that simulations are available, but [--he's already well beyond his limit with future technology. Someone please just give him a physical paper folder or something, he needs to take this A LOT slower.] I'm a bit old fashioned, I'm afraid, but still eager to get up to speed.
2. Is this sentence written in Japanese? [And, a moment of focused speech-to-texting outside of his native tongue:] Now, is this sentence written in English?
3. Is there a way to stop these messages, without physically removing our earpieces? That failing, is it possible to make the notifications... quieter? I can scarcely hear myself think.
Thank you for your time. If I may be of use in any way, please don't hesitate to let me know.
