Good morning evening? day to you all. It seems I'm one of several new residents upon this vessel. My name is Yujin Mikotoba. In my homeland, I was a professor of medicine, specifically forensic pathology. [Or should he say in his home...world? This is still so surreal; being polite right now is his way of trying not to think about how all of this works too hard.] Please do excuse my ignorance as I make up for what I am sure are great gaps in my knowledge; I do hope my experience will not prove entirely obsolete. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, and I truly look forward to working with you all.

[All right, now that the niceties are out of the way...]

I have a few questions for our more veteran members. I expect I'll have more as I continue to familiarize myself with the station and our goals here.

1. Are there notes, or better yet, full reports of our previous missions, as well as their results? I am aware that simulations are available, but
[--he's already well beyond his limit with future technology. Someone please just give him a physical paper folder or something, he needs to take this A LOT slower.] I'm a bit old fashioned, I'm afraid, but still eager to get up to speed.

2. Is this sentence written in Japanese?
[And, a moment of focused speech-to-texting outside of his native tongue:] Now, is this sentence written in English?

3. Is there a way to stop these messages, without physically removing our earpieces? That failing, is it possible to make the notifications... quieter? I can scarcely hear myself think.

Thank you for your time. If I may be of use in any way, please don't hesitate to let me know.

[ the visual is of one perky brunette in the middle of the sunlight room, with a theatrical set behind her, still in the process of being built and put together. ]

Hello! Welcome, one and all, to our newcomers, our returning orbers, and our esteemed orb-hunting veterans. For those who don't know, I am Rita Farr and several months ago, I announced that we would be holding a production of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream here on the Ximilia between our missions. We held auditions, did our casting, recruited volunteers for putting together the production, and the time has come for our little play to come to light in just a few weeks, perfectly in sync with the festive season.

[ if conditions allow, anyway. but β€” no! rita's thinking positive here, her smile beaming despite all her internal agony. ]

Now, we have had a few of our cast members return to their home worlds, so we've had to do a bit of shifting. Luckily, we have Ms. Clara Oswald filling in the shoes of playing our Oberon. However, we do have the role of Peter Quince open and available to any volunteers. It's a medium-sized role in terms of lines, a carpenter in charge of putting together the play within the play, and if anyone, all members new and old, all ages and genders, believes they're capable of learning their lines in a timely fashion, please let me know.

[ because of course she's not freaking out about an empty cast slot in her play, not even as her smile stretches wider and she laughs nervously. ]

We also have openings for fairies with no lines but plenty of flair if anyone would like to volunteer. Or we are still in the process of putting together our stage and will welcome anyone wanting to contribute.

Once production is complete, I'll be hosting Acting Workshops here on the station. Many of our missions require that we pretend to be other people and keep a low profile, so I am happy to assist all who wish to spice up their desire to better fill their orb-hunting stealth roles.
