Yujin, Wei Wuxian, and and I spoke with the owner of the The Endless Ballad and a few patrons. The owner used to fight alongside Degar.
[There isn't much that Minimus believes will clue them into the location of the orb, but any information is good information, and it regards one of their allies on the Ximilia.]
It's clear he was their bard and to them, simply disappeared one night. My guess is that is how he joined the Ximilia. The team had also lost their former leader, Dweyre, so with Degar's disappearance, they disbanded.
[And Dweyre was Degar's brother - but Minimus won't bring that up. It feels unjust to publicly share the likely target of his regret when Minimus's regret also centers on his long-gone sibling.]
According to the tales, they were close to finding the heirloom at one point,in the caves by Harsby, just north of the Forests of Gha'har, in their words. They called it a "suicide mission" what with the great number of monsters in there, but I believe it's worth exploring as a group. Either the orb is there, or it's a lie told to adventurers to obscure its true location.
