1) How does time work here? Does it pass? Do people really get older?

2) Has anyone died on a mission?

I traveled. I joined a group of explorers in search for a lost planet, and I made friends. Then, upon returning home, I opened a facility to raise the youngest generation of Cybertronians.

That's just a gross generalization of my life. [His adventures could fit years of books.]

A few colonies I knew were starting lives outside of war. It took time to grasp the concept.

Give it a few centuries. [Oh. Wait. They're likely organic.] Although considering your life spans, it may only take years.

[Human civilization changes very quickly from his perspective.]

We don't have that kind of time. We only get ten years.

Until we die.

I'm on my ninth term. Close to my tenth.

And you were in a war for all nine?

[offseers]

We're always at war. It's a never-ending, ceaseless war.

[ even when they die, they return to the cradle. they come back and then they do it all over again. ]

[So Noah is more of a Made-To-Order soldier, designed and built to fight and expected to die within the next battle. But Noah is one that survived.]

Can you take a break from the war, at any time? The next best solution is to carve out a life during times of calm.

It's not that simple. I can and a few others . . . but most of the soldiers are bound by the Flame Clock.

If they don't kill, their life runs out. They'll die. That's the cycle. You fight to live only to live to fight.

You were created by someone else. Are you... [Hm, how does he politely ask this?]

Are you of an organic or mechanical nature?

[offseers]

I'm definitely biological. As are all the soldiers.

[legalcy]

They must have been desperate to have soldiers to link your life to this Flame Clock.

...Is this why you ask about the passage of time?

[offseers]

[ desperate is not the word he'd use for moebius. for them, it was all one big entertainment. ]

Yeah. I need to know how it works here.

I would have to ask our captains on that information. I'm no temporal scientist. [That's the most comfort he can provide.]
