1) How does time work here? Does it pass? Do people really get older?

2) Has anyone died on a mission?

Most of the time, it is. Often, we'll end up telling a handful of people who are close to the orb, but of all our missions... on only two have we been completely honest about being from someplace else.

It seems unjust to meddle in someone else's world and not let them know.

Perhaps. But the alternative is having to deal with a lot of questions and unreasonable fears.

Not to mention that if we were completely honest with everyone about the orb, we'd have to deal with various unpleasant sorts seeking it for their own ends.
