To those who have recently arrived on the station, welcome. You are the third group to have contracted with the orbs--and I suspect not the last.
Since we have a diverse and changing group, I think it would be ideal for us to set up some sort of regular training schedule for everyone. While our last mission was a success, we were not very prepared for it.
[And exactly 0 of their teambuilding exercises have been about practical skills. He's finding that a little concerning.]
Though it would be better to formulate a practice schedule based on what skills we have and how we can coordinate them.
So, if you have a moment, even if you are not new to the station, please share whatever it is that you are experienced in. It does not have to be combative--just whatever you feel is your specialty.
I am a Mesmer, which is a profession of mage that specializes in illusions and distortions. Thhings such as phantasms, stealth, stuns... I use it mostly in combination with a sword and shield to fight.
((Feel free to threadjack around the post! There will be more concrete follow up for a group-wide training schedule post mission but everyone can share with the class now to facilitate grouping together in the mission.))

As for what I offer, I'm a major in the Systems Alliance Navy. I've had missions take me on starships and colonies my whole career. I have some artillery training, though I'm best with handling pistols and automatic rifles. I'm pretty good with tech-- decrypting and hacking into security systems, overloading an enemy's shields, using sub-zero blasts to freeze someone, that kind of thing.
And I'm a biotic, which... I guess you can look at it like telekinesis? I can lift and throw things with my mind, or create a stasis that holds someone in place for a few seconds.

Otherwise, I know enough field medicine to hopefully keep someone alive in a pinch, and if anyone wants to learn wilderness survival, sailing, or navigation, I'm happy to test out the simulation room's limits for those sorts of things. You never know what might come up on these missions.
Can't really teach anyone the silencing stuff, before anyone asks.

What is the limit of materials you can work with? Does it require a detailed understanding of the object you're composing?

[Because for Ed it was the 1910s and all so. He's not the most up to date on technology because of that. For example.]

[Farming? Oh please let it be farming or gardening, the sunlight room would be a great place for growing fresh vegetables between missions.]

Qi cultivation, a balance between soul and body. Manipulation of spiritual energy for healing purposes. Strength. Cleansing, through music. And exorcism.

Obviously since we're a team, I don't mind being approached about any of this at any time. Just contact me.
I'm learning a form of magic, myself, here. So in turn, I could always use some extra training for that on the side.

I was a PPDC pilot back home - basically means I went through rigorous military style training, as well as a specialized jaeger bushido program that's a bastardization of different kinds of martial arts. I can assist with teaching some fundamental basics as well, for anyone interested.

I have a few years medical training and some more recent wilderness survival experience from back home and know how to use a gun.

Is the equipment in the infirmary familiar to you?
