[ of course, rita sets up a visual because the starlet always wants to be seen (except when she doesn't). at the present time, she seems rather enthusiastic like she's fighting a proud grin, one that suggests she's ready to give herself a pat on the back at any moment. ]

Good evening, everyone! For those who don't know me, I am Rita Farr, your Team Morale Coordinator.

[ wait, who assigned her that position? ]

As you all well know, we have been joining mission after mission with the intention of collecting orbs to protect the world and save towns from devastation. In a way, you might say we're ... space-travelling superheroes!

And as any superhero would tell you, it's very important to have codenames for our mission. Obviously, we often obtain our very own undercover civilian names. But in the line of duty, when we're in the heat of the fight, we should just as well have assigned titles to continue preserving our identities.

As the Ximilia's Team Morale Coordinator — [ again, who voted her into that position? ] I took it upon myself to select carefully crafted codenames for each and every one of you.

[ she then holds up a sheet of paper, featuring a list of all of the orbers, each with another name printed beside them. ]

You will find this list posted in the Mess Hall. Please take a moment at your best convenience to study the list and memorize each of the names listed for future use. Though I worked very hard to select them — [ she clears her throat, brushing her hair back. ] I suppose that if you have any issue with the name chosen for you, we can discuss making possible changes. Though I don't see why anyone would want to.

The Avengers were originally a SHIELD initiative to recruit exceptional individuals to protect the world from extraordinary threats.

That's good. I don't think that'd be too comfortable in a practical sense.

[ though she wonders if that's the kind of thing she should be considering. she doesn't have a costume for her own hero status, though it'd make sense for something that would work with her stretching— something to contemplate for another time. ]

Oh! So, it's almost like the Justice League. [ a pause before follows up, ] They're a group of heroes where I come from. Very high level, very official. I'm from a more ... low key group myself.

[deaddrop]

I don't know that comfort is what they have in mind when they make tac-suits.

[Natasha isn't sure what she makes of that name, though. Justice League? That seems a little... pretentious.

Can she say the Avengers is better though?]

Yeah, I suppose you could call us official.

[farr]

You're right. That does sound really itchy.

[ no tac-suit for her, thanks. she intends to do carefully crafted costuming for her outfit when she gets around to it. ]

And what's this official group of yours like? Does everyone get along?

Not always, no.

[The question brings back some visceral memories—Tony when they got him back after the snap as he called them all out, Rocket snarking at Scott, Steve's very specific brand of condescension and disappointment, usually reserved for Tony, Vision trying to be a voice of logic and only confusing things more. She cared for her teammates deeply, but she couldn't say that "getting along" was how she'd describe them most of the time.]

I'd say it got better, but there were some very big personalities at play. Better than here, but we had the advantage of having more time and a smaller team.

[Even so, they had yet to actually split the orbers.]

How about your team? If it was less official, you had to have something else keeping you together.
